Nice tool -- takes some practice.
This is a simple and well made tool. Very sharp blade. It makes clean cuts with minimal effort but you need to take a little time on scrap wood pieces to develop your technique. Watch the grain direction and spend 10 minutes or so practicing before using it on a project that you care about.

Great product after a little TLC
I enjoyed the product for the most part. It does it's job as a champfer plane and it is very handy when you need a nice 45 or 60 degree champfer. However the blade was almost unusable right out of the box. It took some serious re-sharpening to get it to cut anything at first.

Excellent design but blade needs sharpening
This was the most practical tool I could locate for being able to put multiple different types of cornering on various projects. Excellent construction, decent cost, well documented. Wording is in Japanese, but the diagrams are simple and clear. Wood is beautiful, which was not expected. This allows for three different angles for bevels. But out of the box, the blade is not sharp enough. Which.. Fair enough. You need to learn how to put an edge on any iron for this sort of work. It sucks but isn't enough to drop to 3 stars

Plane Iron hits the chamfer bevel attached to plane bottom
I use the product for chamfering the edges of beams. It's attractive and appears well made, But I cannot extend the plane iron to the needed depth because it hits the screw-on guide. I removed the guide and use it without, and it worked well. But too bad the signature feature doesn't work.

Sapele cut right out of the box
Quick test cut right out of the package. Cut right through sapele without issue. I’d say its quite sharp!

Extremely impressed
One of those tools that surprised me in the best of ways! Once you get used to it the chamfer it creates is perfect, aesthetically pleasing and most importantly, extremely repeatable. Highly recommend this little hidden gem to any woodworker or hobbyists alike!

Doesn’t hold adjustment
The blade moves out of square during use, resulting in an uneven bevel along the workpiece. The tiny lever cap does not provide enough force to lock it down.
