I just about panicked when my trusted, American made B&K ST-140 power amp started to flake out and emit a bit of smoke by the power switch. Fortunately, I was able to consult with an electronics technician who advised me to do know further trouble shooting until I found a replacement power switch. After pulling the amp cover off, we could easily replace this switch by releasing the tab clips on the switch inside the amp cabinet. Once I received this virtually identical replacement part, it took 30 seconds to pop the new one in. It’s a simple and easy fix for a vintage quality amp.

It works and fits properly

I was under the impression that these came 2 to a pack. I expected 10 switches instead of 5.

I was faced with defective power conditioner I used to control AC Voltage to my desktop computer. This device is at least thirty years old. Troubleshooting the unit, I discovered on/off toggle switch was deflective. Fortunately, the switch had the CARLING TECHNOLOGIES logo on it. I did an Internet search on the company and found it was still inexistence. The only problem I found that The big box electronics venders all had minimum orders or had to back order the switch. Amazon, although more expensive, was able to get the replacement switch to me within two days.I ordered the switch from Amazon; it arrived in two days and was easily dropped-in into power conditioner. This saved me the cost of a new unit or the long wait for shipment from the big box retailor.I’m pleased with Carling replacement and the convenience of Amazon.

The illuminated rocker switch was defective and did not work.

The replacement switches arrived quickly and are easy to install, but they simply haven't lasted as long as the originals. The original power switches in my three Orek 1500-watt space heaters worked reliably for over 11 years. In trying to replace the OEM Carling brand switches with Carling replacements each time, I’ve now purchased seven over the past seven years, but four of them have already failed. Worse still, two of the most recent ones stopped working just a few days after installation.Each failed switch loses its mechanical “click” and ends up stuck in either the “on” or “off” position, making the heater unreliable. Some might wonder why I keep buying this switch, expecting different results. The answer is simple: I haven’t found any other replacements with the exact specifications, so I feel stuck with swapping them out and hoping for the best.I am open to any suggestions Carling might have. Thank you.

The fan on my older Five Star range wouldn't shut off. Took it apart, removed the defective switch on Saturday. Matched the same words and volts/amps on several sites until I found this exact match. It was in my mailbox on Monday, a cross country trip! I was thrilled to install and start cooking with gas again, and not fill my house with propane fumes. Thank you!
