If you have issues with your hands, this is a MUST! I LOVE it! Works very well!
I don't usually write reviews but for this product, I just want to quickly say that I love it. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and this makes caking yarns so simple for me and it works out so well. There are little notches under the spring to help guide the yarn, which I didn't see the first time I wound up some yarn and I wasn't happy but then I found those notches and since then, this yarn winder is really perfect. It is not the products fault if sometimes there are knots at the end of a yarn skein that need worked out, you would have to deal with that in any circumstance, in fact, it takes care of some of the looser knots that can happen at the end of a skein. I highly recommend this, especially for folks with hand issues. It is definitely worth it. Now, I just pray it lasts a long time. ;)

Quiet and efficient winder
I used a manual winder made in China before, and this electric one is a big improvement. It's not too loud, and I was pleasantly surprised that the delivery to Korea was faster than expected. Very satisfied!

Feed the yarn in slowly and it works perfectly every time.
So much easier on my hands than hand rolling my yarn balls. Plug it in, load the yarn , run it on slow and gently feed the yarn through to catch any snarls and you get perfect yarn balls every time. Very relaxing and your hands won’t ache!

The Pros and Cons
(*Cracks Knuckles*) I’ve been waiting to type this review until I’d put this machine through changes, and well we’re 15 skeins in and counting. I’m not sure why companies have decided that consumers only need a cord to power their devices, but this is another that annoyingly comes without a charging block. That aside, this machine works reasonably okay, is easy to store, and has saved me time in winding. It’s easy to assemble and secure to your table for use. There are settings to adjust how fast it winds the yarn. I have found that the machine needs to be on a pretty high setting if you want a skein that doesn’t eventually fall apart after winding (for worsted weight or heavier yarns). I’m not sure about its durability - as others have noted. This thing clicks and whirs in a way that makes you think it’s going to quit at any second. It has sufficiently met my needs, but it’ll be interesting to see how long it actually lasts. Finally, I don’t love that it slightly shaves the yarn because it needs to be passed through a couple of grooves and springs to secure it to the device. It’s a great start but needs some improvements to be a device that I recommend to all of my fellow knitters. For now, I’ll keep it because I hate hand winding yarn and have a number of skeins that need to be made into cakes. Once it dies, I’ll search for a different device.UPDATE: The seller contacted me and actually invited my feedback. They took into account my concerns about the slight yarn shaving caused by the affixing the yarn to the machine and suggested alternatives - including not using all of the springs. I so appreciate that they are reading comments and taking the feedback of their customers to heart. I added a star and give them an A+++ for customer service for this.

It’s so easy to use.)
I just got it today and so far I love it! I have two hand operated yarn winders and this electric one is much easier to use! I have arthritis and I couldn’t wind many skeins because pain in my hands and shoulders! In one day and less than an hour, I have wound at least ten skeins. I’m so glad I bought this electric yarn winder!

Too fussy when using a swift
I suspect the tension arm is fundamentally flawed, despite its claims. Every time I used it, if there was any loosening of the tension (which happened easily the automatic torque adjustment was basically in the pulling contest with the swift) the yarn flails and then is no longer at the exact angle it needs to be to wind correctly, resulting in yarn wrapped around the top or bottom of the post. I tried putting the swift lower like other reviewers suggested, which seemed to make things slightly more even, but I still ran into the issue. I even re-wound one ball because people said it handled commercially wound pill-shaped skeins just fine, but the yarn still slipped once the ball got bigger (I tried to make 100g balls, so nothing crazy). I only managed to keep it from doing that by letting the yarn run through my fingers between the swift and winder to keep tension in the winder, same as my manual winder. If you have any issues with cranking a regular yarn winder, you can definitely make this one work. But for me, this was more than twice the cost of a basic knit picks winder and isn't any more convenient to use, so I'm going back to that.

So much easier than manually winding.
Works great, already have wound 600 grams of yarn, using this coupled with an umbrella swift. So much easier than manual winding. It does squeal a bit occasionally, but slowing it down recifies that.

Good for the money
Works, Isn't the best but it does it's job! It has multiple speeds and clamps onto a table. Sometimes it stops if the tension gets too tight.
