Very nice
I have to admit, I was slow to appreciate this device. I bought one and installed it and it seemed like it would be hard to get 5 drives in but I definitely got 4 in with some room. It was all snug. But, it did everything I wanted. Then I copied 6 terabytes of data off another machine onto that one and all the drives stayed cool.So I purchased a second one and rebuilt an earlier server. Four drives fit snug but just right and I put a SSD in the 5th slot with a conversion tray (a 5th HDD definately would have fit). I appreciate this thing a lot more now. The large fan blows directly on each drive and it makes a difference.I put both of them in HP Z420 boxes and I think they look aesthetically correct. In both cases I also bought a HDD power chord extender and a PCI HDD controller with 4 ports at 6 GHz as the HP mother board only supports 2 HDD at 6 GHz.So far I'm very happy with my choice and very likely will do it all again on a third machine.

Note: not all PC cases are compatible
I bought this as I had 3 x 5.35” bays and also wanted to mount HDD’s to create a RAID array. The idea is great…BUT, as mentioned in the product description, the bays should have “flat inner walls.” In other words, the bays should not have small horizontal tabs to support whatever module that gets installed. I missed this part and thus couldn’t install the cage into my PC.Frankly, I’m not sure if there are that many PC cases that would work with this product as PC cases these days hardly have any 5.25” bays at all. And the cases that do have multiple 5.25” bays are more likely to have supporting tabs.Anyways, it’s not like the seller was hiding this limitation; so it’s on myself.BTW, there does exist a similar product (though not on amazon) that works with cases that have supporting tabs. That product takes up 3 bays and accommodates 4 HDD’s.

Works great!
I got this cage to install in my case that only had 2 hard drive slots. I was looking to make a TrueNAS machine and securely add more hard drive slots. I put the fan on this cage and inserted the drives I needed, and it worked perfectly. I ended up not putting this cage in the machine because I figured out another configuration, but I kept this cage because I'm sure I'll find another use for it soon.

Keeps the drives cool
Exactly what I needed. Added 5 3.5" bays space in exchange for the pretty much useless 5.25" drive bays. Paired with a case with a large amount of 5.25 bays, this turns a computer into a server. Keeps the drives cool too, much cooler than the cases built in internal bays. Well worth the fairly low cost. I would suggest adding a mesh filter to keep the dust out.

Bought twice. WIll buy again. HDDs keep secure and cool.
Good for TrueNAS DIY JBOD builds. HDDs keep secure and cool in a solid construction. Bought 2 with no issues. Will buy again.

It works but not high quality
The item works, can hold 4 3.5' HDs but the black plastic holders are not high quality. I'm afraid that they may break when I replace the HDs. It also doesn't come with a manual, you have to figure it out how to set it up all by yourself.

Very easy to install and effective
This thing is very easy to put together. If you ever installed a HDD in an ATX case this will be very straight forward. It's quiet and cools down my 15k SAS drives very well.

Very nice cage.
I used this to make an external HDD enclosure, and it works perfectly for my needs.
