X5 G05 Gloss Black Kidney Grill Grille Fit for 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 BMW X5 G05 (Gloss Black-Single Slats)

Bought my x5 M-sport used and needed to replace both grilles. They were literally hanging on by a thread. Looked into OEM but didn't want to spend that much on something that may or may not last. These were perfect! They actually felt more sturdy than the originals. Like some of the other reviews every clip but one on each snapped into place but I don't fear them falling out at all. They were also really quick to put in; took me longer to get the old ones out than it did putting these in.

It seems to be a quality product, but difficult to install. Specifically it is difficult to get the old grill out without breaking the old grill despite viewing all the videos on Utube and being a reasonably skilled person with a variety of tools. However once the old grill is out, the new one installs easily and fits well and looks great. Breaking the old grill is not really a problem unless you want to reinstall it which is unlikely. However one must be careful not to break any of the tabs on the body in order to have a proper fit for the new grill.

I have a 2021 BMW X5 e/PHEV with M trim and the gloss black double slat grille was crazy easy to install. You just need a flat head screwdriver to push down and pop out the initial grille (I YouTubed it - the grooves to remove it are under the hood), but be careful as the front camera (should you have one) is installed in the grille and will have to be popped out as well (no screwdriver needed for that though - also, pay attention to which way is up for the camera!). Then you just pop the camera in the new grille and push the tabs back into the hood area (again, no tools needed here). Can’t believe how easy it was and how good it looks for under a hundred bucks! What a steal!

Great! Easy is install on 2019 BMW X5 XDrive 50i M Sport pkg. Much better than the chrome I think & took me 3 minutes, just need a small flat head screwdriver to push down on your initial grill clips! Good quality as well, chrome does not get you home, lol.

I watched a couple of video's on you tube but this was still a little difficult getting the original grill's removed. The first grill I worked on, I removed the chrome outer bezel clips. Then realized there was a separate black insert (vertical lines) also needing to be removed. You'll get a feel for it, trust me. Just take your time. On the second grill, I just removed the black inner grill and both chrome and black insert came out together as one, much easier. No matter how you do it, the second will be easier due to your learning curve. The job took me an hour. I definitely like the black grill and the product was as described and looks very nice. If you're on the fence, just do it. You'll love the new look. Our X5 has the M Sort package so this grill is a perfect match with the side window trim because they're black gloss and not chrome like most X5's...
