My Liege of Dark Haven...Sinfully Arousing!
Honestly, this is my first book by Cherise Sinclair, and I don't know how I could have possibly missed this author (this won't be my last). This narrative was more than amazing, It. Was. Outstanding!! Brilliant, well-written story of compassion, vulnerabilities, friendship, dom/sub activities, commitment, and just the hottest impassioned male imaginable...Liege Xavier oozes dominance! Aside from that, there is a fantastic storyline that just melts the heart with two of the most intriguing main characters, who definitely fire up the pages--gratifying erotica. And so the eroticism begins...Abigail is a professor trying to keep her job by making tenor at the University. And in doing so, she sets out to do a research paper on BDSM. In order for her to get the true nature and experience for her subject matter, she goes into a BDSM club undercover applying for membership, but instead, ends up taking a receptionist position at Dark Haven BDSM Club. However, this isn't the only position she will be in throughout the story. For you see, she must also participate in the activities of this exclusive club or get booted out. With much reluctance, she sees the hands-on experience as an advantage for her exploration and an essential aspect of academics in writing her paper.Undoubtedly, the owner of the club, Xavier, knows she is unfamiliar with the BDSM behaviors and begins to take her under his wing to teach and explore her submissive nature. In their quest, the constant dom/sub lessons to be learned morph into one sinfully sensuous relationship. With all their arousing and deliciously delightful passion, it begins to blur the lines for both of them with their individual beliefs and lifestyle. But, oh what fun it is getting there...and the conclusion will have the reader wanting so much more! Truly a wonderful story that should never end, but it is a fantastic ending! Highly recommend for one wickedly arousing ride!

Cherise did it again :) Wonderful read!
Oh...my....swoon. I'm just going to sit here a minute and stare at that cover because Sweet Mary it is droolworthy. And what's inside that cover is even better. As soon as I finished My Liege of Dark Haven I wanted to flip right back to page one and read it all over again. It was one of those books that was just that blasted good. From the emotional connection and steamy bits between the characters to the writing and creativity it was all very nicely put together and made for a damn fine read from Cherise Sinclair. One of the things I love most about Sinclair's writing is that she can create such incredibly intimate moments even in a room full of people. You get so involved in the story and focused on what's happened between the characters, the delicious tension and chemistry, that by the end of a scene it's almost a surprise to realize it's all happened out in the open in a club/group setting. A couple times I was shocked right back into reality along with Abigail which I found really amazing. I love when an author can pull me in so thoroughly that sounds mute and nothing else around me seems to matter. My Liege really had everything I look for in a book. It's an incredibly hot and steamy read but the emotional aspect of the relationship is just as strong. Abigail and Xavier are really likable people and it's lovely watching them get to know each other and figure things out. They've each got a bit of the unexpected in them as well. Xavier really will have you melting all over the place. Amazing Dom. I really like that they're not perfect as well. They can screw up, and do it spectacularly, but still manage to work things out. That's one of the things I love most about reading BDSM is how much communication (and trust) is built into the relationships. There was really only one thing I wish there'd been a little more of. And, yeah, maybe it makes me a bit blood thirsty ;) but I would have loved some real confrontations between Abigail and some of the secondary characters that gave her grief. It all worked out and was a damn satisfying read but I really wanted certain characters to be put in their place a little more. See? Blood thirsty. LOL.My Liege of Dark Haven, I think was one of Cherise's best ones so far and it easily tied for my favorite read. Old fans won't be disappointed and for those just checking her out it works great as a stand-alone and introduction to her writing as well as BDSM in general. If you're a little curious about the subject she's definitely the one to read. She has a way of easing you into the subject, explaining without being technical and really making you believe in the scenarios and relationships.
