Fat Cat Tested, Vet Nurse Approved
I adopted my kitten a few months ago and found out early on that he loves to climb. I live in a small apartment and don’t have a lot of room for a free standing cat tree, so a wall- mounted set was the way to go. I spent MONTHS searching Amazon for the right wall-mounted cat tree and had this one in my cart for a while before I pulled the trigger. As a vet nurse I’ve seen what can happen to a cat that hops on a cheaply made cat tree and was honestly a little nervous at first. The package arrived 4 days sooner than the promised date. My first impression when I opened the box was the pieces seem sturdy. The wooden frames have a good weight to them and are not at all flimsy. All the pieces were included with nothing missing from the box. There was some minimal shedding from the fabric that covers the pieces when I pulled them out of the box, but nothing major. As soon as I pulled everything out and had just laid the pieces down, my cat was already investigating and using the scratch mat. Out of the box the scratch mat had some imperfections (see pictures) which was a bummer but he still loves it.Putting it together took a second pair of hands and my roommate and I were able to assemble them in about an hour. I recommend using a power drill to fasten the wall mount brackets to the pieces since you have to screw through the fabric to make sure the brackets are flesh to the wall for mounting. This is a little frustrating because the fabric would easily get snagged in the screw and start to rip the fabric from the wood. I went slow with the drill and carefully made sure the fabric wouldn’t catch and that seemed to do the trick, but be careful at any step that requires you to screw through the fabric. Also, the three tiered piece can be mounted two different ways, so make sure you map out how you want the pieces to fit on the wall before you screw the brackets into the three tiered piece. The instructions were simple and straightforward but a little vague. It took some trial and error to figure out how to assemble the house portion of the set. Once all the pieces were put together, I felt confident that they were structurally sound enough to mount.Throughout the mounting process I made sure to use the wall anchors in every single screw point for added security. After mounting each piece I would test the shelf with exercise weights to make sure they were sturdy. Each individual piece is capable of holding up to 26lbs of static weight (which is the standard weight for a Maine Coon cat) once mounted in the wall. My cat weighs 9.8 lbs so this is a huge win. I’d recommend mounting the piece with the bridge lower to the ground or above something that could catch the cat if they fall, it holds just fine but if he’s not careful he will sometimes slip between the bridge and the wall.I loved that I was able to customize how the pieces went on the wall, because my apartment is small I have the pieces mounted pretty close together and in more of a vertical position, but with more wall space you could definitely mount them horizontally to each other. My cat loves it so much and that’s a big win. Only reason for 4 stars is the incident with the fabric catching on the screws and the defects in the scratch mat. Overall it’s a great product especially for the price, and in my opinion it beats spending $150-$200 on a free standing cat tree that takes up tons of space and is awkward to transport when moving to a new home. I’ll update in a month or so to report how it holds up over time, but so far I’m confident it was money well spent.**UPDATE** I just moved from my tiny apartment to a new home and the pieces are holding up great! Took them out of the walls of the apartment and mounted them at our new place and my cat still absolutely loves it. I did end up having to throw away the defective scratch mat that came with the set simply because he scratched it to shreds (it was bound to happen) but still very happy with this product! My cat is safe and happy.

My cat loves this!
My cat now loves this. It took him a minute to get use to. I eased him into it by putting cat treats up on each of the pieces that he had to get to. He uses it all the time now on his own. It’s soft and a good value for the money. The pieces are put together well. I was happy with how easy the assembly was. I did give this product 3 stars because the hardware provided that they provide, to secure to the wall, do not do the job. I used those to begin with thinking they would be sturdy and I came home one day and they had ripped out of the wall and the pieces were laying on the floor. It scared my cat and me for my cat’s safety! I didn’t want to just let this go to waste so I went to Lowe’s and bought some toggle bolts. I was able to use the same holes that the original ones ripped out of with the toggle bolts that gives it extra support from the inside of the wall. Since I’ve actually been able to secure it now and it is sturdy and my cat is no longer afraid of it. It has been smooth sailing. My cat sleeps and plays on it regularly. I just wouldn’t trust the hardware for securing it to the wall to actually hold your cats weight, no matter their size. I would spend the extra money for the toggle bolts.

Easy to put together
The media could not be loaded. Worked great for my cat. Had to buy different hardware for it to mount.. paired with other products to make my cat his play area. Easy to put together. You do need two people to mount and put up on the wall. Other than that have had it up about a month and haven’t had any issues with it coming off the wall .

Holds up my fat cat & my skinny cat!
The media could not be loaded. My cats love it! The one part I thought they would be nervous about , the bridge , is their favorite spot to sleep . I have 1 over weight cat and it holds her just fine. So no worries about it falling down . Highly recommend and have been telling all my friends who have cats ,to get one! Quality is good. My husband was able to put it together very quickly.

Small
It's cute and OK built. You definitely can NOT use the hardware they provide, unless you have kittens so don't have to worry about falling off the wall. I really should have glared at the measurements more. I have real cats, as is 7-9 lbs and this is not really a good size at all. It's been up for MONTHS and not really used cause it's too small. Wish I never bought it.
