If you’re using it as a Level 1 charger, be sure to set the current to 13 Amps (at 120 Volts it trickle-charges at 1.5kW which will charge 18kWh of your battery after 12 hours - most Americans drive 50 miles or less per day, so for normal use under those circumstances Level 1 in a regular power outlet is fine).

We took delivery of our Rivian R1T at the end of November, and I have been using this charger for home use. We had the NEMA 15-50R outlet installed in our garage and the unit works just fine with the Rivian! I use the Rivian's on-board charging timer to charge during specific hours and to pull no more than 32amps.I found that when I did not set the amps in the R1T to be no more than the charger could handle (the truck will take up to 48 amps), the charging would error out on occasion.The only thing I would recommend is to mount the NEMA adapter higher on the wall than the minimum stated in the instructions. The cables are THICK and do not flex all that well; mounting the socket higher would have allowed for a better cable alignment of the unit.

Update: We were sent a replacement back in mid to end of January. Since then we've used it multiple times every week since then with positive outcomes. We've used both charging capabilities and have charge in three places frequently traveled. We are hoping it continues to work as good as it is now.Old reviewWe purchased this as a travel charger to keep in the car for our BX4x. We bought it in The later half of October. We checked if it worked upon delivery which is did. We use it for the first time daily for one week the last week of November. In December when we went to use it again it failed to work. We tried it at our home and family member's home with the same results. It was a waste of money! and already out of the refund and exchange period. I should've just purchased from the dealership because now I'm out of this money.Do not buy!

Five months. That’s how long it lasted. I used it exclusively as a lvl 1 charger, charging my car roughly every other day. Midway through last week, I got into my car after its timed overnight charge, and the battery was still where it was the night before. The charger has been showing an E01 error any time it has been plugged in. I have tried multiple outlets with no luck… in fact the charger takes longer and longer to boot up each time I plug it in. I did like the charger, when it was working, but that was not meant to last. Buyer beware!

This was super affordable and an awesome buy. I love love love. Even checked Temu for better prices lol and this was the best deal for your buck 100% I also purchased a separate adapter to occasionally speed things up on a 240v (common dryer plug check your prongs to make sure you select the right one) make sure that when you use ANY outlet it’s solely just for the ev charger. I ran my dishes and charged on a 120v at 16a and it tripped the breaker. Solo charge only oh and this bad boy adjusts amps accordingly. I had it at 32 default ran back to make the change and it had already adjusted the energy pull(smaller numbers in the background) at 16.4a. Love love love. I use it for my Hyundai ioniq 6 limited 2023. Also love my car highly recommend lol

This has taken the snow, hail, thawing and refreezing from my second floor balcony without issues. It fully charges my car within about 5-7 hours depending upon the charge level and weather. (2020 Hyundai Ioniq Electric; 38.3 kwh battery)I've gone as low as ~12% before using this, it's excellent. Even better, it's running safely through a proper extension cord and splitter (see my other reviews for them). I use this on my heavy driving days since my 240v is inside, behind my stove. I have no complaints, it works well.

Even though the product details say the cable can work between -13 and 113 degrees, it stopped working for me in pretty ordinary cold weather, somewhere around 40 degrees (Fahrenheit). In warmer temps it was great - good length, solid thickness, plug-and-play use with no problems. But once it got cold, it stopped delivering power. It starts working again if I bring it inside for a few hours to warm back up, but that's really a pain and not consistent with the advertised specifications.
