Great sound with different speakers
This is a great Hi-Fi for the cost and I love that I can play my records, tapes and CDs on one Unit as well as listening to the radio or the other options (which I've yet to try).I'd been prepared by other reviews for the sound from the wireless speakers to be poor, but was still shocked it was so tinny with no bass. I could not have kept this product if these were the only speaker option. I was also surprised to find that the wireless speakers were not so wireless (others may have realised but I didn't expect that each speaker needed to be plugged into the mains - a major problem for me had I used them).I found attaching the speakers from my old system more difficult than expected. I had to buy two connectors because the line in connections on the back of the system only had male connectors for female pins. However I could still not get those to work well, they only produced a very low sound. So I had to take an amplifier from an old surround sound system and plug it into the subwoofer socket and run the speakers off of the amplifier. The sound is now excellent and I can listen to death metal and classical music with a fabulous sound quality. The overall finish is cheap. The buttons are slightly misaligned on the front, the casing is very thin plastic and the tape doors are flimsy. But honestly for the price, what did I expect? (It was well back to prevent damage in transit.)Overall I love this system because I have a way to play all of my different music on one compact system but I wish they'd supplied better quality speakers that wired to the system and I would have paid double (maybe more) for the kind of finish we used to get on a Hi-Fi.

Okay, but records don't play so retuning it
I was really set in getting this and really wanted this concept of a turntable, cd and cassette player, DAB radio, all in one with Bluetooth speakers to work, despite all the negatives reviews online. I moved a couple of years ago from home and took a lot of my records and cds with me but left all my hardware back at my parents. I thought F the haters online, and to me, its a local brand, so how bad can it be? But after getting it and seeing the actual quality, well its not worth the near £300.Sure it looks nice on the stock images but the plastic is so thin and cheap, the cassette doors are as stiff as bricks, the cd holder is flimsy and doesn't shut level. The fake finish is glued on badly. The corners are scuffed too. The tone arm doesn't work.On the bright side, the quality of the speakers are not too bad if you can overlook the fact that their not actually wireless. It will work in your sitting room or what have you.My advise however would be to get a turntable from a brand you know wont fail you, unlike this kit. Get a cd and cassette player off ebay or fb marketplace or even amazon and connect it to Bluetooth speakers if you want that all in one stuff, and upgrade when you feel like you can. Its cheaper in all the ways you look at it. I was sold on the 50 years of experience nonsenses (well it doesn't show in the build), being a local UK brand and was a let down on the product. With Steepletone, I would highly recommend upgrading your product. I think Steepletone knows its not worth the £300. This is a costly lesson learnt on my end and I will return and replace this Hi-Fi system the first chance I get. In the future, I am staying well away from this brand.

Good for playing the records, tapes and CDs I own
So this is really easy to set up, the instructions are simple and in plain English.Made in the UK by an established firm and it shows. It is a compact good looking system that does exactly what it promises.Yes it is true that you are not going to get a loud system, although it does have the ability to add extra speakers so you can boost the power. That being said it is good enough for home use and I like it as it is.If you want to hear your vinyl, tapes or CDs again buy this and enjoyIf you want to blast music at a party then go for separate turn table, amplifier and speakers.

Absolute Garbage!
I first thought the concept of everything in one item would be great. The Manufacturer boast of being in the business over 50 years certainly added to this. When I first unboxed the two black wood side panels facing front were chipped on the corners. This I ignored and this I can live with. The the speakers wireless is great but the sound is beyond a joke barely pushing out 2 watts. This I could also live with by running it through a seperate external amp. To top it all off the record player even on the slowest setting plays too fast. Neil Diamond sounding like a chipmunk is ridiculous. Steepletone should be ashamed of this unit, it could be so good but it fails so bad. Aside from Bluetooth you could buy hifis that did all this does in the nineties and they did it far cheaper and way better. To top it off it’s not mega expensive but not exactly cheap either. I returned the item almost two week ago and Amazon keep pushing the refund date so still waiting for that and something else to bear in mind. I will never spend close to £300 on Amazon again got nothing to show and down a load of money!
