The ability to use this portable device anywhere on the go is a huge plus ...
This was my second go round trying out a Bug repellant that is small and portable. This one was different in many ways with the one feature in particular the usb plug in aspect which was very attractive for me in portabilty. Needless to say for many folks concerned at how small the actual device is for effectiveness and the ongoing use of replacing the small mats in it may cause doubt but can be put to rest when you realize it is meant for particular scenarios. After I used this device Its essence for repelling did work but you cant always have 100 percent mosquito free environment without having some other forms of repellant to back it up. Previous to this the device I had already tried out used a liquid like a diffuser and was nothing close to what it described in repelling mosquitos with the same up to 20 feet area of coverage. I used this device with heavy scrutiny based on my passed failed experience. I am here to say I am pleasantly surprised that it did show a difference and helped detour the heavy traffic of mosquitoes I get in the entrance way of my front door where I placed it strategically. I live in all year round warm climate and the summer months are the worst with mosquitos. I purposely use this device in the entranceway where these mosquitos congregate when I am having people over for a dinner party or other high traffic event that can at least give me some coverage when people are showing up and constantly coming in the front door. Another scenario I used it also was when sitting out in the back patio that is open with no screen enclosure to also help us enjoy a quiet evening with less mosquitos in sight. I have since determined and started to use other resources like off spray on your body and or burning those round green coils which now contribute to a wider no zone of mosquitos to ensure an enjoyable evening without insect intrusion. Because truth be known there will always be one or two mosquitos left still flying around. It is what it is ...But this device still helped a lot better than my last and it's portable and I can choose to use 2-3 of them if i need too when camping outdoors or on a picnic with the family for better coverage. As long as the replacement mats are affordable to replace I will continue to use.

Seems to be pretty effective
Does well at least until I get to the larger mosquitos (Florida, mind you) then some get to me but largely better than just using Off!

Works well for smaller area, easy to use, portable, reduce mosquitoes
I am like the mosquito magnet and I love spending time outdoor in the backyard or out for a family picnic. I would try any product to repel mosquitoes. I used this mosquito repellent outside on my patio, it did seem to keep the mosquitos away and I did see much less mosquitoes for the first 3-4 hours. It would work even better in a smaller, enclosed area. Easy to use and portable, I like its compact design, just plug into a USB charger. It's a great value for the money.

Not as good as butane
As a hunter I've been using thermacells for 20 plus years with the butane refills I find they work much better they get hotter and they smoke when the chemical starts to burn off the patch that being said I tried these in the same environment and did not find them to be as powerful as the thermocell. did work and keep some of the mosquitoes away but I was still seeing mosquitoes around me.

This thing actually works!
I didn't take a picture, but how do you take a picture of no bugs? I have an off-grid cabin that I have built in the woods. It runs of 12-volt LiFePO4 batteries and solar panels. It is the perfect get-away, but like I said, it is in the woods and there are a lot of mosquitos. I have been using the Thermacell mosquito things, and they work great, but it is expensive to keep buying their proprietary butane canisters. So I thought I would give these a try. and they really work great! I have the cabin wired for 12 volts, and I have USB adapters everywhere. So I plugged in a this and it works as good as the Thermacell, but without the expensive fuel canisters. I have a lot of the Thermacell pesticide pads, and noticed that if you cut one in half, it fits perfectly into this device. So since it is about half the size, I got two. This works out better as I can now spread out the devices, one on each side of the room. They heat up nicely to distribute the repellent, but have a very small draw from my battery system. I highly recommend these.

Nah!
It emits for such a short time! Literally reloading the strip every hour or so.

So handy using a battery bank, I can go anywhere
I was so excited to find this with the usb "plug". That would mean I could be completely mobile when using one of the mosquito repeller gadgets. Mosquitoes bite me like I am some sort of delicacy and have used similar repeller pad devices for years (some worked with butane, some with a candle etc). I cannot wait for summer as I can put this down right near me without worrying if I'm going to set the place alight (although when setting it down, I will put it on a silicone mat for safety). So, if I move over the the BBQ to make dinner, I can just take it with me. It has a little light that comes on when you plug it in - indicating that it's on. That's very handy. The repeller pads are quite small (compared to other device's pads I have used before), but perfect for my "outdoor" time of 3 or 4 hours. Within 15 minutes your mosquitoes should be looking for someone else to bite. I have an old "lipstick" battery bank that's going to great for this. Comes with 10 repeller pads. The pads slide into the slot, but it is quite a snug fit. That's a good thing, so it doesn't just fall out if you move the device around or take it with you. Great find. I can't wait to go biking and set this up when we stop for our picnic - and eat in peace.

Disappointing Quality - Trash
First, the refill is too thick to put it in. Then while using, I didn't smell anything. I have 120v similar type, and once it's plugged in, I could smell mint type scent. This one didn't have any scent & as you can see from the last picture, after plugged in for over night, the refill was almost burnt. And the repellent unit has the blue refill paint or something allover it.For the safety & effectiveness reason, I won't use it ever again!!!
