Not waterproof at all
Not waterproof at all. Bought it for my son and after hiking in wet conditions everything inside was wet. Good only for dry weather. If you need waterproof buy something else. Very disappointed.

Handy pack away rucksack, good for travelling with!
This pack away ‘backpack’ is really useful to take away on holiday as it can be packed in your suitcase (or cabin bag) and used as a day bag whilst abroad. The backpack folds down into itself to a little handy sized pouch and weighs just under 250g.It has a capacity of 30 litres, which is a good size, but as the shape and material is quite supple, you will find the bag sags if you fill it with too much weight. It is perfect as a day bag to carry a small bottle of water, sun cream, power banks, umbrella/rain mac, etc. It has plenty of zips, straps and pockets to keep all your stuff organised. The shoulder straps aren’t the most padded but they are wide enough to feel comfortable on your shoulders when bag isn’t heavy, much better than string bags. I wouldn’t suggest the use of this bag for hiking or trekking (as is advertised on listing), as the straps really aren’t padded enough for long wear and the movement involved with strenuous walking, and there is no padding on the back panel to prevent things digging into your back. There is no guide or instructions for packing it back into itself, so make sure you take note as you unpack it for the first time, but it’s basically like one of those pack away waterproof cagoules you can get, the storage pouch is flipped inside out as you stuff everything else into it!Overall, it is a well made and good quality handy sized day bag, but not my first choice for hiking.

good emergency backpack, folds up very small to store, tons of pockets. Single-stitching
PROS-folds up into a very compact little pouch-pretty roomy-top zips are slightly weatherproofed-tons of pockets!-robust external fabric-side-compression strapsCONS-very thin shoulder straps (necessary, to let it pack up so small, but try not to load this up too much, your shoulders will hurt)-all single-stitching (again, don’t load it up too heavily)-a little fiddly to revert it to its compact state (but a little practice will make that a lot easier)NOTES-this is most ideal as an emergency backpack, something that doesn’t take up much space until it’s neededMY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
