Two thumbs up!
very happy, my wife is alergic to mosquito bites and swells up when bitten. Since we bought this she has not had a single bite. I recommend buying mosquito attachment pade to make this a terminator. I have it set to come on automatically at night, but if were on the patio during the day i change the setting to turn on manually. The solar panel is a great plus, i have the panel on the patio roof and with the long cord i hang the zapper from the eve. Two thumbs up!

Easy setup
It was very easy to set up. I set it up at my 2nd home and I haven't been back to check on it yet. I'll give it 5 stars for setup. I love that it's solar powered.

Useful non-chemical tool to help with bug control
Is working as expected. The ability to turn it from Auto (dusk/dawn sensor) to On during the daytime was a major factor in the purchase. Add mosquito baits and turn it to On mode during daylight hours when a new brood of the Asian Tiger mosquito hatches to help use less chemicals to thin them out. Auto mode and a bait helps with the native mosquitos that are active at night. I have it near a tree that moths spawn in and haven't seen any more webs since installing. By product is the wasps feeding on the moth larva have also disappeared and aren't making nests on my patio.

Does not attract or kill bugs
This device looks so cool with the solar panel and all. Seemed convenient so you don’t have to plug it in, but the only problem is it doesn’t do what it is supposed to, namely attract and kill bugs. I typically have two cage style electric bug zapper plugged in and hanging near my deck and garage. I live in a rural area of Wisconsin and we have tons of mosquitoes, seems more than usual because of all the rain this year. Every day I have to clean my cage zappers with compressed air because the zap bars are completely coated with dead bugs. So I unplugged those zappers and put this one out after a couple days of charging it in the sun. And the next morning I had to inspect it very closely to find a bug or two. I would say it failed the functional test. I’m keeping the solar panel and figure it may come in useful for something in the future. I was a Quality Assurance Engineer for over 30 years and I’m able to evaluate products completely objectively and this one SUCKS!!

Durable
The media could not be loaded. Have owned this product well over 6 months now. Has done its job great and always has charge. Definitely a loud zap when it gets a bug, easy to clean with air duster. I have kept outside it is definitely weather proof. Would recommend and plan to get more.
