Helped my concentrations issues
Last year, I was experiencing some kind of brain fog (I suspect related to the perimenopause, though this is my own diagnosis) I struggled to concentrate on a course I was taking, found it difficult to absorb information and was suffering from blank page block with my assignments. This lasted for almost 6 months. On the advice of a friend, I started taking Lion’s Mane, and finally managed to complete and hand in my assignments. It could of course be a coincidence, or the placebo effect, but I think it likely that Lion’s mane helped me overcome my concentrations issues and improving my clarity of thoughts.

Lion’s Mane with added Thiamine
IMPORTANT NOTE: My review is purely my own experience and not medical advice. You should seek professional medical advice from your doctor before taking any supplements, especially if you are taking medications for any other condition. All medications and supplements are subject to any number of unwanted effects so you should take personal responsibility to ensure the benefits outweigh potential risks.Date Received: 27/06/2024Best Before: 31/05/2027I’ve been adding Lion’s Mane in powder form to my coffee for a few months and whilst this doesn’t add to the taste of my coffee (not that I’ve noticed) it is quite difficult to mix into my morning drink. These tablets provide a measured amount in a simple to take supplement which also adds vitamin B1 and black pepper into the mix.Thiamine (B1) helps keep the nervous system healthy and is responsible for some metabolic reactions, including the breakdown of glucose and amino acids. Your body is not able to make thiamine for itself, like it does with vitamin D from sunlight. However, you can usually get all you need from your food in a western diet, so deficiency is rare in this part of the world. Thiamine is added to most flour and breakfast cereals here in the UK and is found naturally in whole grains as well as some meats and fish. Worth considering before you opt for this product as Lion’s Mane can be obtained alone.According to the NHS, you are unlikely to overdose on this vitamin as it is considered generally a very safe medicine, but it’s not advisable to ignore the stated dose as a hard daily maximum. I find taking one tablet instead of the stated two works for me and still provides the mental clarity that I get from the powdered mushroom variant, albeit easier to take. You should follow the advice from your healthcare provider as each person will have different needs, and not just purchase blindly based on reviews like mine here.

Good price, hard to swallow
Tablets very hard and dry so plenty of water needed. Only been using for a couple of weeks so probably won't feel many benefits yet. Good price on comparison

Great for mental clarity
I take mushroom supplements on a daily basis now. I find them to be effective for mental clarity, focus, and keeping alertness into the afternoon. I no longer notice the 3pm slump that I was experiencing. I would recommend Lions Mane particularly as it seems to be universally recognised to have these effects. It is useful for perimenopausal brain fog. Look out for the high dose such as offered by this product. A good value-for-money option that is easy to take.
