Great inline mic pre.
They work well for the price. Very low noise. Great for live gigs and in the studio. Very pleased with my purchase.

Signal Boosted
(almost) Totally transparent on a ribbon mic. There is a slight bit of noise added, but far less than the mic pre in the interface (Tascam 4x4) adds when boosting the ribbon mic to a similar level by itself.PANIC!!! It's not a $100 brand name piece of gear. What matters is that it sounds good to you. No one cares what gear you use, so for $20-ish, if you need one, go for it. You're making the music. Besides, if you're like me, you just dropped a sizable chunk of coin on the mic, so you have little $$ left for the necessary accessories. :-)

Simple to use
I got this for a wireless microphone system which had a relatively weak signal via the XLR jacks. They are easy to use, and the phantom power from the mixer streamlines the setup. Be aware that the package includes only one preamp, not two, contrary to what the product images suggest!

Gets the job done
I really like how easy this preamp was to use and you hardly notice notice it. It's not the best preamp in the world but for about $20 it gets the job done. Recommended.
