I bought this to use with a new 3 stage 25' extension ladder for home maintenance.Easy to assemble and good quality materials and construction.The hooks fit the ladder rungs generously the the spring hook is very strong and holds the ladder stay securely to the ladder. The size is ideal to provide grip and stability at the top of the ladder.In use the first time I was cleaning gutters and this device worked very well to keep the ladder back from the guttering. I extended the ladder past the gutter and rested the stays on roof tiles. It was very good and I felt it added great stability to my ladder.Next I will be cleaning upper floor windows and later painting window sills so working at a slightly lower height. With the ladder stay I know it will keep the ladder gripped against the wall and at a safe comfortable distance.Excellent value, well made and recommended.

Strong and robust. Used this as a way to stand-off from the sofit and easily access the gutters. The V cut out is handy on occasion where pipes run down. A little more padding would have good, but so long as you've careful at lifting away rather than dragging it shouldn't mark the bricks. It feels well made. Can be assembled with different gaps as appropriate for your ladder design.

This item is very sturdy and feels well made. It was easy to assemble. I felt safe when I was up the ladder. Made it much more secure.

This ladder stand-off feels great quality and made to last (durable). The design itself is very sturdy and built to last. It allowed me to feel more comfortable with reaching higher up areas as it made my ladder feel more secure.There is an instructions manual included with this product which explains how to fit the product easily. This is a very functional stand-off for your ladder as the rubber feet ensure protection for the surface you’re leaning on and reduces the risk of slipping (practical).Although the price point of £34.90 (upon this review) seems quite high I think this is reasonable for the quality and durability of this product, therefore I do recommend it.

The Homvvi Ladder Stand Off arrived packaged in a plain cardboard box.The stand off requires some assembly but all fittings are supplied and there is an easy to follow instruction leaflet.Once built the stand off is relatively sturdy and has a couple of nice features, such as the two rubber pads to avoid damaging surfaces, a spring clip to hold the stand off in position on your ladder and a handy V groove in the back frame to allow the stand off to work around vertical pipes.The approximately 60cm wide span keeps the top of the ladder 30cm away from wall and adds extra stability and a decent working distance from the wall.Good stand off at a decent price.

This ladder stand-off is solidly constructed and feels very strong. It's a useful device that not only makes high areas easier to reach it also makes the ladder feel more stable and safer to use.I really like the simple spring clip that can hook onto one of the rungs and holds the stand-off in place on the ladder.Another great feature for me are the anti-slip rubber pads on the arms that make contact with the wall. So much better that the small surface area of the top of the ladder being the only contact, I feel much more comfortable. The pads also spread the weight and force being applied to the wall or whatever you lean the ladder against.I've been doing a lot of work on the roof of our renovation bungalow, replacing gutters and facia boards, fitting membrane support trays. With just the ladder 'as is' I'm constantly having to reach over guttering or place the top of the ladder where I'd rather not have it. With this stand-off, the ladder is held a good distance from the wall and it's easier to reach over guttering and such without risking being hit in the face by the plastic.I'll be doing more work on the roof in the coming weeks (depending on the weather and other factors) and I'll update this review with photos and / or video as appropriate. In fairness to Amazon and the vendor I wanted to provide an early review rather than waiting.All in all this is a small outlay for the advantages that this provides. Having used this for just a short time indoors (our internal garage ceiling is 11') I can't imagine using the ladder without it from now on. Recommended.

Very well made and designed. Easy to fit to my aluminium ladder and mech needed now I have big (tall) barn windows to clean at home. Much safer with the stand-off as I can keep my distance much better while doing the window washing.

Easy to assemble from the simple instructions, I have mine set at the 30cm spacing as it suits my ladder.Once constructed it forms a solid unit that can be used with confidence, with the spring attachment system holding it firmly onto the ladder.The main benefit I was after was the stand-off, which enables the ladder to sit away from the wall, making it easier to see into the gutters, which is the most regular use for the ladder, without being under the soffit. The ‘V’ is occasionally useful for corners.I have added some additional padding to the rubber blocks, as was finding they were marking our light coloured wall paint when manoeuvring the ladder.Good addition to our ladder kit.
