A meditation tool to re-evaluate your life
This book was absolutely beautiful. Although it started off a tad bit weird, the messages throughout the pages are deep and meaningful. It makes you meditate on life and realize that’s it’s not too late to start living. The things that we’re mad about or regret right now are not important. Don’t die regretting the things you did not do. Die remembering and accepting the things you did achieve. We’re so focused on the things we could’ve did or should’ve did. Let’s focus on what we can do NOW !**********Spoiler addition ***********The ending really wrapped it up beautiful. For our character to realize that the thing he hated the most, his father, was the person he needs. The person who shaped who he is now. The love for movies, the clocks, the stamps. His father was always there. At a young age we may feel like our parents are no there for us but once we grow up and deeply analyze…. We come to realize that they were there for us through a different perspective. His dad wasn’t there physically but he made sure to send him the stamps he loved. He made time to get the perfect stamp and made the time to sit and personally write to him. The time that our character believed was never given. It was….. just not the way he expected. Cabbage? His FATHER was the one who insisted of keeping him. I could really sit here and analyze this book so much. Will definitely add to my bookshelf and recommend.

Book arrived damaged
I haven’t read it yet, so can’t speak on that, but the book arrived with a big cut through the back cover. I can still read it, but not super happy I paid full price for a damaged book. I am a big fan of the cover art though, and excited to get to reading it.

Good story line captures your attention and you will cry
I really liked this book. I decided to order this when I usually only read murder mystery genres' but this captured my attention and I needed a paperback to read right before bedtime to avoid the light from my Kindle. I laughed and I cried with this book. I highly recommend this book to my family and friends. It's a good book and very enjoyable. I admired the way the author was able to create a fictionalized novel that used a cat, the devil and bible verses along with everyday life. The story woven through with real life and fiction made it so enjoyable and completely outside of my usual pick which made it a fun opportunity to explore. It was sad in parts and I did cry but overall I would recommend it, I didn't want to hurry through it though

Meaningful
I went to Starbucks in my local Barnes and Noble and they were selling this book for $5 with a purchase of something from the cafe. I liked the cover of the paperback.. it's a black cat and just bought it. lolThis book is short for a reader but man I can't stop thinking about it now. This is really not a book I would typically read and it's translated from Japanese, so I can definitely feel a little difference in culture but it just made me love it all the more. It's truly a beautiful book and has such depth to it even though it's only 168 pages. This book will sit with me for a while. Truly recommend it to everyone.

Thought Provoking
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...It takes a lot for a book to make me cry and I definitely was tearing up by the end of this one. The narrator takes you along on his life and thoughts after being diagnosed with a terminal illness and very little time to live. The devil shows up and gives him the option to make things disappear from the world in exchange for extra days alive. The catch? The devil gets to choose what goes. This is a great story that makes you think about life, death, and the significance of seemingly insignificant things in the world.Spoiler Alert: cats (thankfully) did not disappear from the world.🏷️ #bookreview #genkikawamura #ifcatsdisappearedfromtheworld #bookstagram #books #bookaholic

The book is a delight!
Light, creative, engaging, and profound. It cheerfully and humorously makes us think about life and decisions, prompting us to reflect on our own lives. It reminds us that the world is the sum of individual choices, not just about how we perceive the world, but how we impact it."Just being alive does not mean much in itself. How you live is the most important thing."

Lovely novel.
Great, warm and emotional novel. For sure to keep in mind at every moment. Loved the way the events on the story were leading the ending.
