Dewalt 30 Oz. Yellow Powder Coated Tumbler

Great item! I purchase it as a gift and they loved it. Their only complaint was the 30 oz size which is a lot for the amount of coffee they drink. This isn’t a product fault, but my fault for not knowing how much coffee the gift recipient drinks daily.

DeWalt hit it outta the ballpark with this tumbler ! My hubby is one of those very hard to buy for guys. He'll settle with anything and never so much as complain. He really likes using this cup, though. DeWalt took the guessing out of this equation, Guys.

Ordered for guy friend who collects all things Dewalt. He said it was his favorite Christmas gift. This travel mug is just as nice as any Yeti and less expensive.

Overall an excellent alternative to the doubly priced Yeti equivalent; so long as you like yellow (which I do).Unrivaled temperature maintenance. Made tea at noon and left the lid off. Placed the lid on after an hour. At 4:00pm, the tea was still too hot to drink.Given the reputation of DeWalt for sturdy tools, I was a little surprised by the admonition of "hand-wash only". I'm guessing the paint might flake off over time, but I can't really speak to that a week into ownership.My only real complaint is the flip cover on the lid. When in place, it makes a perfect seal; no leaking. However, when flipped back for drinking, it does not really snap into place. This causes it to flop down while drinking. While this would be annoying on its own, the situation is exacerbated by the fact that there is a rubber stopper that is perfectly situated to hook onto the bridge of my glasses and pull them off when I tip the cup back. My only recourse has been to keep an index finger on the flip cover while drinking to hold it in place. This is not a major inconvenience, but it is a significant one.The magnetic sliding cover of the Yeti is much more convenient in this regard, but the Yeti does not make the same level of leak-proof seal. The seal on this DeWalt cup is go good that it is difficult to remove the lid while the flip cover is in place.

I have purchased this twice. And I only had to buy a second one because I dropped it and broke the lid, and couldn’t find a lid that I was positive would fit to replace it. Even with a cracked lid I used it for a while before deciding I should replace it. The cup itself is still in good condition. I’m in commercial construction, so naturally it has dents and scratches galore. But it’s held up for sure. It doesn’t leak if it tips over. I use water flavor packets so it leaks a little when I’m shaking the cup to mix things, but other than that it doesn’t leak. The lid seals air tight. It keeps my water cool and coffee hot. It’s super easy to clean, too.

I’m a DeWalt guy. So, I had to have this tumbler, even though I have several others. I hate when my mugs get dents and dings so I duded this up with a Gangster Armor Grip silicone handle and a Wuqid silicone bottom boot. Both fit perfectly to keep my cup from being damaged. The DeWalt name is mostly hidden. But, that’s ok. As long as my cup is protected it doesn’t matter. I know what it says.I haven’t used it for coffee yet. I’m not sure I will because I really hate when the caps get discolored from it; I drink it black. So, I haven’t tested for heat retention. However, it’s my new ice water tumbler. I fill this thing with ice, cover it with water and it stays nice and cold for several hours. I think the longest it’s held cubes is close to 13 hours. So, no complaints.There are several other yellow tumbler brands out there where you can get 4 for a bit more than the price of this one. Course, I’m not sure what the quality is and they don’t have the DeWalt name. So, do your own homework. Others may work as well. But, I’m a loyal DeWalt customer and so I don’t mind paying a little extra to support their brand.Also - I saw some others complain that the snapping lid cover flops in their face when they’re drinking. They just need to put a little more pressure on it. There’s a form fitting cutout on the opposite side of the lid and the cap cover fits right in there. It’s just a little hard to press in when the cup is new. So, don’t be afraid to put a little pressure on it and it will stay in place. I’ve never had a problem with mine at all.So far, I love it!

Keeps my coffee hot for about 6 hours, and icy drinks stay cold for a day. The ice will still be solid the next day! Can't go wrong with DeWalt, either!!!
