The media could not be loaded. I can’t recommend this book enough!! It’s one of those books that gives you the real-world knowledge you can’t get from textbooks or formal business programs. He shares lessons from his own career that are practical, things like how to negotiate, read people, and make decisions that go beyond theory. His no nonsense approach to business is refreshing, and the advice is spot on for anyone trying to succeed in the fast paced world of business. The operating manual for dealing with people FINALLY comes to Kindle!
You should know this book was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to come by until it came to Kindle - even the paperback at one point was going for $50+ on Ebay. The Hardcover I'd seen for sale for as much as $400!You dear reader, are lucky to have it so readily accessible now that it has come to Kindle for a fair price. Why?Because it is the consummate complete manual on how to be an effective human being. This book is basically an operating system of how to function in life as an ethical opportunist. A combo of Taoism, the Matrix and Dale Carnegie. It's not just for business -- however, if you ARE in business, especially personal services or sales, you are losing money, clients and career momentum by NOT reading it...I digress, not just for business, but in all interactions with other humans. The author gives entertaining stories that are easily relatable, easily digestible, along with fascinating takes on the psychology of human interactions, deal making, and the day to day observations that go into getting what you want from others, especially by finding out how to give them what they want.Once you figure it out, and start living it, you'll begin to see the Matrix of human interaction, and be able to take advantage of it for *hopefully ethical* personal gain.Enjoy my good friends, enjoy!

Lot's of examples
Great book! This book goes in great detail about important professional skills. Skills that most don't learn at school. So, it's a great way to stay ahead and learn more about the art of becoming successful through people and selling skills.

Indispensable insights for new grads and startup founders
Mark's book provides practical advice and wisdom on the things you can't learn in school, such as interpersonal skills, getting ahead, reading people, and selling with passion. While some of the anecdotes are dated, the advice is timeless. I highly recommend this for new grads and startup founders alike.

Classic
I havent' finished the book yet, about 75% through. But I'm on a roll reviewing products I recently purchased, and I feel like I'm ready to give an opinion on this book. It deserves its reputation as a classic on business. I've already implemented some of the ideas into my own business. I rank it up there with "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and "Persuasion" as having just some great "how to succeed in life" knowledge that is broadly applicable to wide range of situations and should be essential reading to any person who wants to succeed.
