Make sure to predrill a slightly smaller hole than the size of the screw so you can twist them in easily. They work great, have them all around the house inside and out. No signs of rust and they remain sturdy while holding plant holders, stained glass, bird feeders ect. The safety clip is a nice touch because it ensures that your stuff can't fly off the hook if you get a real strong wind that comes through.

Bought these to hang patio lights on my new pergola. Easy to use and the perfect sz.

However there were several that broke on me ... The bit for the drill was worth the price of admission.

I purchased these to use to hang up market/string lights in my backyard. These were very easy to install - I predrilled a small hole with a 1/16 drill bit and was able to twist these in easily. The clasp on the hook is a great feature, which ensures that the wires will not come out of the hook, even if there is wind. I also like the black color as opposed to silver and is blends in better in my backyard.Overall, I would recommend these to anyone looking to securely hang up market/string lights.

I am hanging plants and these were perfect. Even giving a friend some. The plants are secure, not worried they will fall.

Worked great for hang utility lights.

I used them hidden behind my fascia board to hang Christmas lights. The opening was large enough to hold a power extension cord and some lights. The black color blends in with the black bug screen in the soffit, and they feel strong enough to hold way more weight than I needed.Lessons learned: unless you really need a closed loop, skip the hangers with the spring loaded flap. They are a pain to use in tight spots and when your fingers are cold. Plus, they reduce the diameter of what the hangers can hold because you need to open them at some point to remove the cable and they press in, not pull out so you need clearance to get past the cables to then pull the cable out. Not looking forward to that in January when I need to take the lights down.I plan to leave the hangers up year round, but might replace them with hangers without the spring loaded flap.

Ideal for festoon light's

I have used these to hang stained glass panels in my windows. Most recently I have used to anchor my outdoor Christmas lights outside. I did pre-drill a small hole in both applications-with the pre-drilled hole the hooks screwed in without effort. Very strong product.
