I was a professional mechanic for 10 years and have used a variety of factory and aftermarket scan tools.Pros: price, size,2years of updates, capabilities, obd1 adapters, Wi-Fi capable, Bluetooth obd2 plug.Cons: initial setup can be lengthy, long to start up.-scan tool size is that of a smart phone which is great because you don’t have a big bulky device or case to store.-This scanner for about $650 has more capabilities than scanners I’ve seen at the $3k+ price point .-you get 2 years of updates for free. My old MAC tools scanner (that this is replacing) wanted $2,700 to do an update.- capability example: I am no longer a professional mechanic but needed a scan tool with more capability. For a 2003 Ram 2500, I was able to program keyless entry remotes, can right vin number to a NEW PCM(not able to over write a used pcm vin without the pcm pin but if you had the pin you could use this scanner), change pinion factor (to correct speedometer for taller tires/final drive gear ratio) and could program keys if equip with immobilizer. I can’t even include everything it can do.-comes with a wireless OBD2 plug which is better than having a cable hanging in the way if you need to work under the dash to troubleshoot or need to test drive the vehicle.-Wi-Fi capability is great because you can download directly with this scan tool instead of using adapter cables or a usb stick to do updates. Also you can use the internet on the scanner if you need further troubleshooting help.The only negative things I can think of….-takes a while to turn on and get to the main screen but this is could be considered typical of smart phones or PC’s.- for initial setup you will need to connect to Wi-Fi, have the registration number of the scanner and register the scan tool.- doing the initial update may not be required but I would recommend it. Why not load the latest version as this may save you a headache later on. Updates usually fix found bugs and may include enhanced features. But be aware that doing this massive initial update may take up to an hour.

Ich suche seit langer Zeit ein Diagnosesystem, das mit OBD1 klarkommt. Der LAUNCH X431 Diagun V kann das! Meinen CLK 320 Cabrio W208 Bj.1999, mit OBD1 kann ich jetzt richtig auslesen, Komponenten ansteuern und viel mehr. Selbst den Druck der Klimaanlage kann man auslesen, super.
