Better than the Cabelas branded mount
I actually have this on a SCAR heavy. I tried the Cabelas one and it did not make it long. That one was actually pretty bad. I figured this might be better. I am happy to report with about 400 rounds this has already exceeded the Cabelas unit. It has stayed tight. It has kept scope zero and not rotated yet. I take it off the rifle for safe storage and can put back where it was on the rifle once at range and it holds the original zero.

Mounts the scope WAY forward on the rail
Almost a Home Run, but really could use some changes-- A good height for a flat-top AR, but Be Aware that this mount locates the scope farther forward than most others. My Vortex 1-6x24 Strike Eagle has a short eye relief and my rifle has a Matech BUIS at the rear of the rail, and this mount could not get the scope to the rear enough for proper location within the eyebox. So I cut 1/4" off the back of the mount, and cut a notch in its rear QD latch, which allowed the scope to move back 1 more notch on the rail. A little more to the rear would be better, but this location does work.- The pitch of the QD screws' thread is fairly coarse so adjusting tightness on the rail is touchy. (Later, apply a drop of superglue over the stub of the screw to better secure the adjustment.)- The cam on one of my QD latches transitioned too smoothly to the latch's flat, so it did not "snap" shut like the other latch. But a hand file changed that transition into a slight corner, improving the fit. And the latches flip to the rear, so heavy recoil could open them. Flipping forward would have been more secure.- Overall, the design is pretty good, and the machining and attention to detail is outstanding. 2 extra screws and a Torx wrench came with it. But no literature was included so screw tightness is a guess. I used 15 in-lbs. on the screws and the scope has not moved after a couple boxes of 5.56. (But, before assembly, I roughed up the ID of the rings and saddles with 180 grit to give them a better bite on the scope tube.)

Good solid mount
Mount is machined quite well and, after adjustment, firmly attaches to the rifles rail. Purchased so I could quickly detach scope and mount a red dot if needed.Purchase was based on previous Monstrum purchases. Have always been satisfied with Monstrum.

Works great on my rifle
Quickly attach and detach is very nice when I wanna use my irons. Very stable as I usually shoot around 200 yards with it

Read this before purchasing, I am only here to help
I put this on my AR15 with a Vortex crossfire II 2X7. I did much research on this mount and the scope, which I am writing a review for now. (the scope is a bang for the buck best you can get for 120$ IMO)Okay, for the mount, you will need a torque wrench to place the scope inside the rings properly. I hand-tightened them, and the scope moved after about 100 rounds. After putting 18-19 inch pounds of torque on the scope rings, it is totally secure, and the scope has not moved after 100 plus rounds. Do not exceed the torque of, let's just say 20-inch pounds because you will strip them out or crush your glass in the scope. It is challenging to gauge how much torque that is without the inch-pound torque wrench. I recommend investing in one.The screws that mount the rings to the rails are super soft (the softest I have seen on anything I can remember hardware related). I could not get more than 30-inch pounds without the flathead screwdriver threatening to strip the screws (sources say to tighten it to 40-inch pounds). Use the correct-sized flathead screwdriver and be very careful you will strip these screws much easier than you think. This is the significant flaw in the mount. The only way to secure the mount to the rifle securely also subtracts the ability to use the levers to quick-release the scope and mount. If you put this mount on an airsoft or .22 you potentially could find the sweet spot to use the quick-release feature. If you intend to use this mount on anything more powerful than a .22 forget the use of the quick-release feature. However, this is still an OKAY low-cost mount without the cool quick-release feature. I read in the reviews that someone replaced the soft rail screws with some from a local hardware store, and they were able to get a much tighter torque from the mount to the rail of their rifle. I have not tried this yet but not a bad bit of information to hold on to. Overall, man, I love a good product at a low budget cost (hints the scope, which I am very happy with) this mount just does not quite qualify as what I would consider a good purchase. It caused me more headaches than it was worth. That being said, I am still using it until I have one more issue. I am a budget man through and through, so if you don't want to take the risk of a headache as I did, you'll have to spend more money.I will write or update this review if anything changes, but right now, with proper torque settings, the mount meets but does not exceed my shooting needs or expectations. Just remember this is a low-cost mount, and that usually leads to some things that will need to be worked out for you based on your needs. Do not expect a super high-quality mount for this price.
