Ivation 5-Gallon Portable Outdoor Shower - Lightweight & Portable - Includes Removable Hose w/On-Off Switchable Showerhead

I am knocking off one star just because the hose is short, with a weak connection to the bag. It's really easy to accidentally pull the hose off of the bag and start spewing water everywhere. It's also really difficult to use this show unless you can hang it directly above you, due to the short hose. Luckily, it's super easy to fix both of those issues by buying a longer hose from any home improvement or aquarium store, with a slightly tighter fit.Otherwise, this thing is amazing. It is sturdy, and hangs easily from branches, hooks, wherever you need. The water heats up very quickly in direct sun, thanks to the design. 3 gallons is enough for two showers, as long as you don't use soap that lathers too much. If using camp soap, which does not lather, it's plenty. Start the flow to get wet, stop the flow to soap up, start again to rinse.I use this shower along with one of those little collapsible change booth tents. I cut the roof out of the tent so I can work the shower. I have had some of the most satisfying showers of my life in this setup. There's nothing better than being able to get a real shower after being covered in sweat, sunscreen, and bug spray while camping.

I can't say enough about this product. First it does not have a zipper or velcro closure but it does not need that. We bought this to carry a digital camera, cell phones and other dry items on a tubing trip down the Guadalupe river. You place the items in the bag leaving enough room to roll the top three or four times (we chose four) then snap the latches together. This creates a waterproof seal and an air bubble in the bag. I am so glad we bought this instead of a water resistant bag from Wally World. We hit a very large tree in the middle of the rapids causing the tube to flip and the tube rope caught the tree. Myself, the cooler and the ivation bag were ejected and sent 100 yards down stream across rocks etc. This bag FLOATED with no problem and after I recovered all items and did a rescue of my wife and the tubes. All items in this bag were perfectly dry. We had over a thousand dollars worth of gear in the bag and all was safe. We are not new to tubing and this is why we chose to carry that type of expensive gear. Get this bag in the size you need leaving space for it to hold air and you will be happy you did. It was in the water 3 to 5 minutes.

Due to the mixed reviews, I had my doubts about this product. As such, I'm happy to say it has exceeded my expectations.I purchased the 20L bag, and it is exactly 20L of capacity you get after rolling it shut. The first time or two, I had literally two droplets of water inside. To be fair, children were playing with it, punching it, sitting on it, throwing it and using it to float!The built is very tough, and it has so far stayed pliable and resilient. Leave enough air to be able to roll shut 3-5 times and latch it together -- it becomes a sturdy handle. Throw the strap over my neck and I'm ready to cross open water. The bag floats like a champ, it's extremely easy to clean, dries quickly in the sun, and in the many times I've taken my gear swimming 1-2 KMs from shore to shore, not a drop has gotten in.I've taken:- Shoes and socks- Clothing- Cell phones- Chalk for climbing- Other friends' valuablesEverything stayed dry, and I'm happy to say this has been one of the best investments I've made this year. I trust this bag with anything I put in it. Five stars, for a well-designed product!

I'm a little disappointed in the bag/shower head design. I has a shower bag roughly 55 years ago as a boy scout. It was the greatest. You filled it with water. Hung it in the sun which warmed the water. You'd get wet and turn the shower off. You'd lather. You'd turn the shower on and rinse off. This bag is a bit too small, not all black and the shower uses a lot of water with little effect. It doesn't get the water very hot. You use a lot of water getting wet and don't have enough to rinse off. Maybe 55 years of "real" showers have spoiled me, I think a larger bag (in black) and better shower head would be minor changes that would make a big difference in customer satisfaction.

My hot water heater died and I used this for 3 plus weeks, using this 3 times a week, the rest at the gym. I'm a camper so it was manageable. I did have to leave it out (as per the instructions) for 3-4 hours in the sun and shower after work. Water temp was very comfortable and at times too warm so I just waited a bit. Always check before getting under. I always filled to the max and it was heavy. Used a pully system in my shower to elevate it to a workable height. Valve was at times difficult to open with soapy hands. At the end the handle ripped the bag at the top seam. I finally had enough money to get a new heater. This portable shower really paid for its self. Saved me from having to go somewhere at end of day to shower.Plan on getting one for future camping adventures (and any other lost of utilities).

So far so good. I like it. It seems heavy duty enough for 2 or 3 seasons, maybe more. The only things I didn't like was 1. There were two kinks in the shower hose from being folded. They restrict the flow of the water every time you move the shower head. I replaced it with new Tygon tubing, available at practically any hardware store for $3. 2. To turn the shower head on and off requires turning it more than I would expect. I would rather have had a button or a twist valve to control the flow of water. Other than the two items I mentioned, no complaints. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

I like the material it is made from. Seems to be strong and it has a quality look. Better than basic black, for me. Shower works as expected, and lasts for 5-10 minutes. I didn't actually time it, but it was long enough to have a good wash. The 5-gallon might be too heavy for some; with water being 10 lbs/gallon. Remember, you have to elevate it up in a tree. A couple of 2.5 gallon models would definitely be easier to hang, and they would likely last you longer due to the reduced weight and therefore less strain on the webbing/seams.

I needed a dry bag to house my wallet, cell phone and other essentials when we were at the beach. This bag easily held all our personal belongings and a full sized beach towel. The seal was good and the strap was long enough to keep it strapped over your shoulder when playing in the water.I'm going to buy the larger one to hold more towels on the next trip.I have not received this product for free nor have I been paid or compensated in any way for this review.

BE ADVISED ON THE FOLLOWING .... FILL(less than max suggested amount) & HEAT LYING ON A FLAT SURFACE . WHEN YOU PLAN ON HANGING : PLACE IN ANOTHER strong BAG OR A PACK SACK ...(with a hole at bottom for the hose). WHY I SUGGEST THIS IS MY VINYL TORE WHERE THE TUBE & NYLON STRAP GO THROUGH AT THE TOP OF THE BAG. poorly designed .. to much stress for the thin vinyl to hold all the weight of the water in the bag.WHILE THE STRAP & HANDLE ARE STRONG...over kill .DONT RELY ON THEM THE WAY THEY ARE PRESENTLY ATTACHED TO THE VINYL BAG.THE MANUFACTURE SHOULD HAVE ENCOMPASSED TWO OTHER NYLON STRAPS "AROUND" THE ENTIRE BAG... ON BOTH ENDS OF THE TUBE & NYLON HANDLE TO TAKE OFF ANY STRESS TO THE VINYL BAG ITSELF & not mentioning the heat from the sun .... water is heavy. I HOPE THEY DO MAKE THESE CHANGES. THIS IS WHY I GAVE THIS OTHERWISE USEFUL PRODUCT A 1 star rating.

Used by daughter on school water sport holiday. Flatbed as described. Items inside were very slightly damp but couldn't say if she had fastened it correctly. Would recommend for a school trip
