Excellent sun shade/shelter
I have been camping many years and have had numerous types of tents and shelters over this time. This 15x15 sun shade/shelter is my favorite so far for a number of reasons. First off, it seems to be of excellent quality for the price. For a shade of this size, it is hard to beat. The tradeoff is for a reasonable price, you need to take a little time to setup, but I feel it is well worth it. The first time doing the setup took quite a long time since it was taking us a long bit to figure out how it all goes together. So just be patient and the most important first step is to use the strap pictured in the manufacturer photo, that's the strapping you see on the "ground" in the photo. You only use it for the initial setup and remove it once you are set. I'm writing this after using this for a full season of camping and have setup and taken down several times now.As for the quality of the parts, everything seems to be of very good to excellent quality. The supports are steel poles with internal metal shock cords which help keeps it organized and easier to assemble. Contrary to one of the negative reviews I saw on here, the internal shock cords certainly do NOT seem fragile to me and mine have already been through several setups/teardowns with me with no problems at all. When assembled, I do not have to stoop down at all to walk under the centers (5'10") and the interior is even higher. The images on the site barely do it justice to show the assembled size. I saw some other comments about it not doing well in the rain. I have not had that experience and felt it has done an excellent job. We had a LOT of light showers this season and it kept everything pretty dry. One trip we had a pretty substantial heavy rain for a short-medium duration and it was still almost perfectly dry underneath. Granted the material is very lightweight, but it does seem to do a very good job shedding water. There are plenty of other spray on treatment options available which could probably improve performance in very heavy rain if treated in advance.Due to the way this structure is designed, it is essential that it must be staked down at the feet. This is absolutely critical as the strapping used for setup should not be left on after assembly (it is easy to trip on and accidentally get knocked off in the dark) and not having that or having it staked in will compromise the structure integrity. Also, please don't make a silly mistake and not use the guy wires and also stake them down if there is going to be any significant wind. These help tremendously in keeping the structure stable and strong. Otherwise realize that there is little difference between this and a very large kite with a strong enough wind. Don't regret skipping that step!Very happy with this and seriously considering a second one for our larger camping events.

Good purchase
I purchased 2 of the 15x15 size domes. Used these domes for a 4th of July bbq. I was debating buying a party tent or shelter, but the prices were high and the reviews were terrible, so I decided to buy these thinking they would solve my shade problem, be sturdier and reliable because of the Coleman name, and be more useful in regular situations like camping, the beach, etc. Assembly was quick and easy once you grasped what the instructions were asking of you. I ordered 2 of these, the first one took about 20 minutes to set up. The 2nd one was up in less than 10. They got together and have the same supplies as a tent. Shock cords and plastic hubs. We didn't use the guywires, it wasn't windy that day and I didn't want anyone to trip. The Dome was sturdy and stable enough without them. Like I said, it wasn't windy. We took these domes down as soon as the get together was over, so we didn't experience adverse weather with them. They did provide plenty of shade, but it was the kind you would get from a tent not a shade tree. Kind of a green hue over everything, the outside is sun reflective white, but the entire inside is the teal green as shown. When the dome was assembled it looked expensive and sporty. The carry case was nice, although the zipper broke on one of them right away. It was my fault though, I didn't fold the cover properly and was trying to cram it into the case.

Sturdy, well-designed, and aerodynamic sun shade.
This sun shade has so far exceeded my expectations. It is well made and well designed. I'm most impressed at how well it resists wind gusts. I'm using it in the desert, and so far it has easily wihtstood 10-15 mph winds; I think it could easily withstand more (time will tell). It is aerodynamically designed, and comes with eight attached guylines near the corners, which are easily adjusted. It comes with decent stakes, but I purchased it with with Coleman 10-In. Steel Nail Tent Pegs, 4 Count, which are longer and sturdier. Staking it down is essential in high winds. The air vent at the apex is a nice touch; it allows some warm air to escape. I had considered getting the 12x12 version, but this one at 15x15 is generously sized for several of us to take our chairs and shelter from the sun, with headroom for standing. But in very strong sun (8,000 feet in the clear skies of desert mountains) with no wind, you can definitely feel some heat radiating from the sun-baked canopy. It feels better when there's a breeze -- and it's cooler sitting down than standing with your head near the canopy. It's reasonably easy to assemble, but it requires some strength to bend the curved poles enough to fit in the four corner pieces. One of the last steps is to use the included perimeter straps to connect to each corner and pull the corners together (which also raises the roof higher); that also takes some muscle. I've almost gotten it together all by myself; but it's much easier with two or more people who can easily push it into its final shape, then stake it down. The storage case with rudimentary wheels is helpful for moving it around on pavement, because it is quite heavy. I've used it twice so far, each time for several days. We'll see how it holds up over time, but it looks promising.
