Brilliant for my greedy Staffie.
Brilliant. My staffie would gobble his food in 1 minute flat and bring it all back up. It’s taking him around 15/20 minutes now. No regurgitating anymore. Recommend this for any greedy piggie.

The King of Interactive Feeders!
This is a brilliant product, well designed and the dogs love it. Eating time is greatly extended. It has even worked with one of my dogs who used to be very reluctant to get out of bed and eat his breakfast - now he's there - no problem! It works just as well with wet or a mixture of both wet and dry food. Little more difficult if you want to add any tablets, not so easy to hide them. There are a few more considerations before you buy, especially if you have several dogs. These feeders are very big and the dogs need plenty of room to get all round them without getting into each others space - can't just stick it in a corner. Also they are not ideal if you are in a rush, although you can speed the time up just putting food round the outer edges but this defeats the object slightly. I agree with the comments that cleaning can be bit of a challenge (amazed how many people don't clean after each use?!) I have found it best to wash promptly before any residue has time to dry on. A good wash in hot soapy water (can do in a bowl, clean one half then flip it round) with the aid of a silicone pastry brush, this is perfect for cleaning round the surface and nodules, Rinse and leave up on their side to drain and dry - job done (a dish drainer is useful if you have more than one to wash). A final point to bear in mind - if your dog has "spaniel type ears" they can get quite dirty and wet, so if you don't want smelly, matted ears you'll need to give them a brush at the end of the day (if you don't already). I consider the aforementioned as minor negatives compared with the pleasure and aid to digestion the dogs gain. I can't praise the feeder enough!

Effective at slowing the dog's feeding
Works well, certainly slowed down our young labrador's feeding; before we got this she was making herself choke by bolting the food down so quickly. It's not especially easy to clean but that's probably true of all the slow feeding bowls, we use a toothbrush when hand washing, plus a run in the dishwasher every now and then. The plastic is slightly brittle - this order was our second one, the first one broke when we accidentally dropped it. But we liked it enough to buy it again.

It works
This feeding tray as I like to call it, slows both of my dogs down when eating, they have gone from under a minute to 4 minutes with this product. I have the large sizes, a bit difficult to wash due to the size but well worth the effort.

THIS IS FANASTIC
I own a Jack Russell Terrier; I got him at nine months old from Battersea dogs home. They told me that he was found wandering the streets. I think this is the reason he scoffs his food (as he has been hungry in his life). He is now 5 years old and there have been a couple of incidents where he has regurgitated his food as he does not chew it. I asked the Vet to check out his teeth and there was nothing wrong with them and said that there’s not much I can do about it as he was a rescue dog and there was probably a period in his life where never knew where the next meal was coming from so he just scoffs.I used to breed JRTs many years ago. The JRT I had before this one developed ‘stomach bloat’, which is a serious and life threatening condition. He was 17 years old at the time (very old for a dog), and I was told he would probably not survive it. He did get over it after a 2 week stay at the Vet. Sadly he was never quite the same after and passed away 2 weeks after I got him back home.IF YOUR DOG BOLTS HIS FOOD AND ALSO NEVER CHEWS IT – and you want to avoid stomach bloat – (believe me it is the most upsetting thing and the dog is in extreme pain), then this is where this very intelligent dog feeder comes into its own.I have to say I was a bit sceptical when ordering. I thought that he would tip it over and start throwing it about, but the design keeps it on the floor and its reasonably weighty and ergonomically designed, so it stays on the floor and does not dig in the dogs mouth whilst he is eating. (I ordered the small one and it was fine for my JRT). It works well with wet or dry food and my dog actually loves it.As a bonus it gives him something to think about, and gives him a little bit of a challenge, and it definitely 100% stops him bolting his food.A fantastic product a well deserved 5 stars

What a brilliant idea! We have a six year old Staffie ...
What a brilliant idea! We have a six year old Staffie dog that we got from a rescue centre three years ago, at which time he weighed 24 kg. We knew he had put on a fair bit of weight but were very concerned to find that he now weighed 31 kg! He still has a bit of a waist, but, obviously, we have to do something drastic as excess weight is bad for him, but especially his Staffie legs. Fortunately, we had just watched a series of dog programmes introduced by Mark Evans and saw this feeder being used to help in weight reduction. It looked a bit surreal, but we thought we would try it. He absolutely loves it. It now takes him 10 or 15 minutes to eat his food, which is a mix of kibble and meat from a pack all slightly moistened. It is early days , but I am sure that it will work as long as we stop any other treats and measure his meals instead of guessing. It is a very well made feeder, and easy to wash if it gets too greasy. Cannot recommend enough, not only as an aid to weight reduction, but also as something to keep your dog mentally stimulated.

Slows them down
This is the best slow feeder for my dogs that I have tried. It really slows them down. Don’t drop it on a ceramic floor though. They are a bit brittle

Solid slow feeder your dog will love!
Our dog trainer recommended this slow feeder to help prevent bloat and to give our large breed, active dogs (a Labrador Retriever and a German Shepherd) something productive to do.The lab loved it from the get-go. The shepherd needed some convincing, but now also enjoys it. They went from eating in one minute or less to taking 5-10 minutes to eat.I love that this feeder mimics how wolves eat in the wild (licking up the scraps up meat in the grass blades) and really makes my dogs work for their food. There is a bit of learning curve but it's fun to watch them sniff for the last pebbles and use their tongues to work the food free.I've used this for both dry food and human foods (corn, turkey, eggs, green beans, etc.) and it works well for them all. The only downside is it's not the easiest to keep clean. Definitely rinse with hot water after each use. I believe they're dishwasher safe, but I've not tried that out yet.
