Is this the same as the pq208?

As I understand it, this is the model that the PQ208 replaced. As such it has the older, more expensive to manufacture cutter heads. Other than that they are pretty much the same item. I've had good luck with mine.

Why is it considered acceptable to ship anything different than the photo? I received a red covered shaver, not a black one. Details matter.

I thought the one with a red cover was the PQ 206, while the PQ 208 is the shaver with the black cover, which is pictured.

Whats the model number?

PQ 208. This model has been out of production for so long, I seriously doubt that you could find a new one available. If you do, I would not be surprised if it is a counterfeit . Mine is over 10 years old and works great, but I would advise you to get one of the new ones. There has been a lot of progress since this first came on the market 20 some years ago.
