This is our 2nd in over 42 years - they are good!
We bought this one to replace one that my mum bought over 42 years ago. Which had been pulled on to the floor over 40 years ago by one of our dogs and still kept working. It had made Christmas cakes, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, christening cakes. Cakes to cheer us up and cakes for sale to raise funds for village events. It saw so much action in those years. So we were very upset when it suddenly had smoke coming off it. We are so pleased with our replacement, the job pavements are fantastic, new metal bowl (old one still had dog tooth marks) love the shield (no covering bowl with teatowel) and the pour in area with ingredients is a fantastic addition, such a bonus. Can't recommend it high enough. Worth every penny, well built, reliable, easy to use, easy to clean. A hard working machine which will inspire you to bake more.

Excellent. Don’t believe the negative reviews.
I had a Kenwood chef which was a wedding gift from 1985 and packed in in 2020 during lockdown. It was steam driven and needed a team of horses to pull it.I’d used it for mass bakes for charity events and the only reason it broke down was because a pin sheared inside due to me trying to beat butter that was too hard. I probably could have repaired it but decided on a new one.I looked at reviews s for new Kenwoods on here and on Trustpilot which were shocking. Same for the other popular make of mixer. I’ll be honest. It really put me off them and I started to wish I’d kept my old one. I looked at other makes too but finally went back to Kenwood and went for this.A year on it’s had much use. It looks fantastic, easy to clean and for the first time we keep it on the worktop as it’s a joy to see with its gleaming white body and stainless steel bowl. The glass bowl looks great too, to be honest I thought I’d use it more but the stainless is light and practical and has a “lid” which goes on when beating icing sugar saving the kitchen looking like there’s been a pillow fight! Comes with the usual three accessories, beater blade, whisk and dough hook. I did think about paying much more for heavy weight or large size machines but this does everything ai need for cakes and bakes and bread. I bought the glass liquidiser attachment which is amazing! Great for soups and making margaritas.

A great replacement for our last Kenwood Chef
Overall: Very nice and a fantastic purchase we hope will be put to great use over the years to come.Pro's------* Looks great. I was expecting it to look a bit boring based on the picture but we like the model - it's a classic.* The attachments on an improvement on the ones we had for the old mixer.* It's a lot quieter than the old device.* The splash guard is very useful.* Some of the attachments from the old mixer still work on the new one.* I am getting a lot of homemade food.Con's------* The attachments are not cheap.OK, so there is no easy way to say this so I will just jump straight in , I bought this for my wife for Christmas. Don't judge me, she got me a weight training bench and weights to get me back into shape. We think this is a great kitchen tool which seems to be as well made as our last one. Indeed, our old Kenwood Chef was a hand me down from my parents and I remember my mum making me delicious food with it when I was a child. These things seem to last forever and the old unit has been passed back to my parents for one of the younger members in the family to use.

Absolute workhorse
Sturdy machine. Can make two medium size loaves at a time easily. Amazing cakes, buns, bread.Does the same things as the much more expensive models (which have built in weighing scales / torches). Better off with this model, buying a set of scales for a tenner and don’t cook in the dark - Problem solved !Been baking bread weekly since I got this in summer. Never shows signs of slowing. Also got some of those mini glass jar blender add-ons, great for pesto.

Does what it needs to.
Good solid machine. I use it for making bread and it really makes it much easier not having to spend ages hand kneading dough. Had it a few weeks now and it gets used once or twice a week and has handled the various dough's I've used it for well. The only bugbear I have is with the attachment recess under the bowl. Water collects here when in the dishwasher so you either end up with a load of water spilling out when you turn it right side up, or if you remember to drain it first, you have to get a cloth in the crevice to dry it out.

Doing an excellent job. The real proof is how long it lasts.
Attractive to look at. does a good job. Better variable speeds than the one it replaces.

Worth the money
We had Kenwood Prospero+ for good 6 years before it started to gp noisy.Mrs wasn't keen on spending extra on this, but in the end we decided to give this a chance and she is really impressed and happy with this Chef version.Fantastic machine and much quieter to its predecessor.Recommended.
