HOT, HOT, HOT and so good
Bought this for the first time many months ago and now it's a staple in the house! So good and crunch. We like the extra spicy version. A little bit goes a long way- trust me. Amazon had a better price than my local grocery stores by about $1. Enjoy, but start with less and work up from there if you're new to chili oils.

Very addictive
DO NOT BUY, unless you literally want to be hooked on this product. I have 9 empty jars ready for the trash. There is nothing like this product. It's RED gold. I put it on Rice, potatoes, noodles and eggs. It adds the perfect hotness. Ive used a half a jar on 20oz of rice. I have an ice cold drink ready. The food store sells it for more than 13 dollars a jar.

My husband loves this!!!He is obsessed with spicy food (and I mean ghost pepper spicy) and says this has the perfect amount of kick.He also says that actually does go great on almost everything. It came in on perfect condition with no damage/leaking, smells amazing, and looks/tastes amazing!

Yum!
This stuff is nice and warm. I really enjoy it! I have had it on mac and cheese, spaghetti, pizza and dumplings and it was great on all of them. I am only rating a 4 because the lid doesn't close all the way and it leaked on my car seat when I brought it to work.

Extra spicy
OMG why did I have to go and order extra spicy? I can handle it right? This stuff is extra extra extra spicy. Did I mention that it's extra extra extra spicy? Only for those who dare to go here.

Not "Extra Spicy" and NO numbing effect
It has a good flavor - a roasted chilli flavor. However, for being "Extra Spicy," it's really not that spicy. I had to put a lot to get any spicy taste. Also, I searched for a szechuan chilli oil because I wanted the tongue numbing effect but I'm sad to say this didn't have any of that. I'm going to keep this because I'm too lazy to return but I won't be buying again.

Like nothing I've had before
I got the X-Tra Spicy Chili Crisp because it was EBT eligible and the regular Sichuan Chili Crisp was not at the time I ordered. I was hoping it wasn't too spicy because while I do like spicy food, I know a lot of stuff that's labeled as extra spicy tends to be overly hot with no flavor, and I don't generally like stuff that's hot just to be hot or for bragging rights.I also noticed some people's reviews showing their deliveries had leaked and I was concerned about that. Mine did not, and there was definitely a "pop" when I opened my jar. This was my first time buying any kind of chili crisp product. I'd seen lots of hype and kudos about the Sichuan Chili Crisp and decided I wanted to give it a try. I've had house chili oils at ramen restaurants and I've had other types of chili oil hot sauces (Tomasa Hot Sauce, I highly recommend it!).I opened the jar and was met with a very pungent smell. I did read that it had preserved black beans and mushroom powder in it and you can definitely tell. I made sure to fully stir up the jar. I decided to taste the oil from the spoon just to gauge the heat and see if it was going to hot for my liking and overpower any flavor it might have. I definitely tasted the flavor (with the concentration of the smell it would be hard not to) but the oil did come off pretty hot and hit me a bit in the back of the throat.I decided to try this on a Birria and Cheese pupusa from Costco. I figured the heat would be good with this and I know what the flavors are to have a good base line. What sorcery is this chili crisp? The heat wasn't so intense anymore. But the flavors that were there suddenly were more intense and enhanced the flavor of the pupusa so much more than any of the other hot sauces I've had them with. I'm honestly shocked that the heat level seemed diminished. It was noticeable before. Now I don't notice it. Maybe because I had already tasted it, I was already used to it. But the flavors it added were amazing and I'm still tasting the combination 10 minutes later.I'm excited to try this on other foods like pizza. I have some dumplings in the freezer too I'd like to try it with. Eggs are a no brainer.I still want to try the original Sichuan Chili Crisp, but the X-Tra Spicy was delicious and honestly surprised me in how it transformed once I added it to food. I'd definitely buy it again.
