Waaaaaaay better than Prismo
Better build, better spout. My Prismo started leaking from the spout in only 3 days of gentle uses. This Flow Control doesn't require you to use the metal filter, cos the gasket stays in the cap.. not stuck on the metal filter like on the Prismo, extra unnecessary thing to stack under your paper filter, to pry out and wash after.

Still going strong....
Pleasantly surprised how well this Aeropress control valve works. I like my coffee strong. I usually make espressos with a manual Flair espresso machine to get a true espresso pour. Let's not fool ourselves, an Aeropress cannot make a legitimate espresso, but it does make such a strong coffee that is a viable alternative when I don't want to go to the trouble and time involved in using my Flair.I have also been pleasantly surprised by the durability of this control valve. I've been using it almost daily for four months to make a double espresso-sized pour without a problem even though I am doing things that in all probability are pushing it to the limit pressure-wise .

Nice addition to my Aeropress.
This filter works well and the coffee it produces is quite good.I noticed a slight difference in taste between this filter and the regular one.

A Fix To The Dripping Problem
I'm giving it a 4 because it should have come with the Aeropress in the first place. It works great but it's a fix to what doesn't work well with the Aeropress. Also, the paper filters seem a tad big for the pressure filter and they don't pop out as easily as they do with the original filter holder that comes with the press, so it's a little more messy.

This perfects what I thought was perfection…
I am a retired almost full time RVing photographer and fly fisherman. I have used an AeroPress ever morning for twelve years. Until I purchased this I thought it not possible to improve on perfection. This holds water for a pre bloom. It holds water for a good brew until you decide to plunge. No coffee escape around the edge when plunging. When you complete your plunge it provides a much better froth. Plunging also takes less isometric effort. Buy it, you will like it!

A great replacement!
Before I purchased this device to control the flow of liquid through the AeroPress, I used the "inverted" method to maximize contact between the hot water and ground coffee before pushing the brewed liquid through the press. This flow control device makes it MUCH easier - and safer - to control the flow and, in my opinion, enhances the flavor quality of the coffee. If this device were standard issue with the AeroPress I'm sure it would be welcomed by everyone. I hope AeroPress considers making a similar device sized to fit their XL press. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Wished I had purchased this sooner.
Great product. Doesn't leak and let's the coffee steep in the hot water until downforce pressure is applied.

Unusable without O-Ring
I really liked this when I could use it. The key here is - when it is usable. There's a silicone ring in the cap that must have came off when we removed the paper filter and it rendered the cap unusable. Aeropress does not actually have replacement rings but they gave me the ring size (2 1/4" ID x 2 1/2" OD x 1/8" CS in case anyone is wondering) to let me go look for a replacement on my own. The first set of rings I found on Amazon stunk really badly, so I didn't feel comfortable using them for my coffee. The two FDA grade O-rings I got from the O-Ring store weren't flat but rounded. Those actually don't create a perfect seal so ground leaks right through the valve. Without the proper O-Ring, the cap is useless and I really prefer the coffee I can make with this than the original cap.If anyone knows where I can find a flat food-grade O-ring replacement, please let me know. I'm really disappointed that Aeropress does not carry any replacement when something like this would happen easily.
