BEST MONEY I'VE EVER SPENT
First off, I am not a computer pro. Far from it. I'm a former radio "Talk Show Host" from a 50,000-watt clear-channel radio station in the Midwest. Since leaving radio, I developed a weekly podcast which was recorded on my Dell "All-in-One" System 10 computer. That computer had everything on it and was my "Lifeblood." But I knew I needed a System 11 with more RAM and storage, and the thought of transferring the data from one platform to another was a nightmare in waiting. I considered taking my old Dell and replacement Dell to a computer shop to let them handle the data transfer, but time and expense became an issue. My next thought was finding a program that might do the job in my studio, and that brought me to Amazon. After reviewing all the available programs and computer tools, I settled on PC Mover because I was familiar with its name and reputation. But I was still unsure of my ability to make the program work. However, I purchased the "Ethernet" version and prayed for the best. It turned out that the box contained everything I needed, and I could actually read and understand the directions. The built-in prompts were extremely helpful in the set-up. The Ethernet transfer cable was even included which saved me even more money. Once I downloaded the software from PC Mover, I started the transfer. All in all, it took about 9-hours for the transfer to complete, but when it was done, virtually everything on my System 10 Dell was now on my new System 11 Dell. You should have seen the grin on my face when I realized that the PC Mover did exactly what it promised to do. I'm writing this review as my way of informing others with the identical problem that the PC Mover software bundle was worth even dime. If you need to transfer data, I highly recommend PC Mover as your most cost effective and convenient option. It was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time.

A Happy Camper with this PC-2-PC transfer app!!
I worked in IT for decades as a System Analyst. This PC Mover app performed perfectly for me to move from a 6 year old Windows 10 HP All-In-One desktop to my brand new Windows 11 HP All-In-One desktop. I didn't think it was going to work as well as it did, thoroughly pleased! I have and will continue to recommend this product to everyone I hear needs to migrate from one PC to a newer PC.•Additionally as I prepared to undertake the transfer, I used the CHAT option to learn certain things I needed to do in the proper order. Every time I hit the CHAT request (any time of day) BOOM, someone was available to immediately give me the needed answer! Loved that!!

It does a fair job in migrating apps and files
I bought this program to migrate the material on my old Windows 10 computer to my new Windows 11 one. It does a fair job but a number of apps did not properly migrate. If you use the program, it's good to have the app installation disks for those that do not migrate or that are problematic after they migrate. I suppose it is better to use this program than us a flash drive to migrate data. I'd use it again.

Worked flawlessly, excellent support.
I used this to migrate from an old PC to my new one (windows 10 to windows 11). The process was very easy and the software guided me through it with no major issues. I forgot the details, but I did have a couple questions as I went through the process and the support provided was great. I did this migration several months ago and everything was successfully migrated to my new PC. I recently decided to erase the old PC since I was comfortable there was nothing on it I still needed. The erase program was easy to use. So I have completed the whole cycle and I would not hesitate to recommend this program.

Didn't work, lost countless hours in recovery
I have a strong technical background and a complex system that includes applications for programming, digital design, and more. This product may work for some, it was a huge waste of time for me.The transfer was a failure after two attempts.Between transferred applications that weren't usable, error messages and the system freezing frequently, I had no choice but to undo the transfer. Unfortunately, the errors and freezing continued - it's apparent the "Undo" didn't restore my computer to its original state.I also tried a system restore using a restore point from before LapLink was installed, but the restore failed. Recovery required restoration from an image backup taken before the transfer.Between failed attempts to transfer and undo, testing and restoration of my computer, I lost many hours' work.Though LapLink offers a money-back guarantee, it's worth researching what that entails. Consider searching for "guarantee" in other reviews - it's not what you might think. You can't return opened software to Amazon, the guarantee is from LapLink. I did arrange to return for refund, you pay return shipping, then wait for a check. I was told it would take 8 weeks for a refund check but that's wildly inaccurate. From the time tracking showed the return was delivered to them, it was 78 days before the refund check was received - more than 11 weeks. As for the issues encountered, there were many. After the transfer I started getting USB device not recognized. This is on an external drive that was working and plugged in at the time of the transfer. Many common operations became unusable.File explorer would lock up at times in such a way it would overlay Task Manager so it couldn't be restarted.Even simple operations such as right clicking an icon on the desktop does nothing, or shows a spinning icon for 90-120 seconds, and nothing else can be done in that time.Trying to display a small picture at times it took nearly 2 minutes for the picture to be displayed.Explorer freezes often and at times restarts. The Start menu is mostly broken. Text can not be entered in the textbox to search, so only pinned apps are accessible by clicking on the associated icon.To summarize, the target system was unusable and the software's restore option was a miserable failure.
