This item does exactly what I wanted it too. I didn’t need an item that does a 100 different things which require 50 different pieces of software to run. It accurately tracks how many steps that I take everyday for as long as I have it clipped to my waistband. Easy and precise. The battery is already installed and is activated by pulling out the tab that prevents it from running before you get it. Well worth the money in my opinion. I will continue to happily use this item and will repurchase when needed.

It has a strong clip and actually stays attached to a pants pocket, but it comes with a cord that easily attaches and enables the user to wear it around their neck. It has a button that enables the user to decide when the day's step count is done; previous pedometers arbitrarily erased the day's step count, whether I was ready or not. It arrived promptly, well packaged, and is an inexpensive, easy way to keep a step count.

Why did I rate this a 4 instead of a 5 star review? Mainly because it is not always correct in the amount of steps taken, are any 100% correct? BUT, hold on. I would give it a 5+ for easy set up. I could hardly believe it was so easy. I read the SMALL manual twice to find out if I had missed something. Nope, just one button to reset, then start walking. That's it! No taking 10 steps, meauring the distance then stepping one foot in front of the other and dividing by or multiplying this by that. Just, one button, resetting to zero and take off walking. I actually tried two pedometers prior to this one which were given to us. No thank you! I would rather pay for this one. Some pedometers have to be level to work correctly, not this one. I love this thing. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a simple pedometer to just count your steps, this is it. That is all it does. It counts steps. It doesn't need a smartphone, it doesn't use an app, it simply turns on and counts your steps. After going the smartwatch route and hating it, I found this little gem and couldn't be happier! If you just simply want to count your steps without being attached to your phone or smartwatch, this is a great little pedometer. Also comes with a little clip you can clip on your clothes or the waist of your pants and a lanyard.
