Two Thumbs Up!
As a fan of The Witcher, this art book really excited me. GWENT is a great card game, with fantastic art to go along with it. The book is laid out into seven chapters that covers Monsters, Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, Skellige, Nilfgaardian Empire, Neutral Forces, and Special Cards. Each card is gorgeously presents with the name, which artist designed it, and a brief detailed description of what is captured on each card. It's presented in a way that anyone unfamiliar with Witcher lore will certainly pick it up quickly (in my opinion). I found myself absorbed into each page, soaking in all of the detail. Dark Horse has done a wonderful job publishing this book, and I highly recommend it.

Gorgeous Artwork from the Witcher
The Witcher 's Gwent Gallery essentially acts as an art book for both the trio of Witcher games (especially Witcher 3) and the upcoming standalone Gwent game that will expand the Witcher 3's popular card based mini game. The book breaks down the various characters and monsters into their respective categories from Gwent (monsters, Northern Kingdoms, Nilfgaardian Empire, etc) and presents each gorgeous piece of art alongside a brief description and amusing notes from the artists and creative teams who put these images together. It is an expansive collection that touches on events from all three Witcher video games and is a worthy collectible for any fans of the series. That said, I do wish that CD Projket Red would release an art book that directly ties in with the Witcher 3 instead of just being a collection of all the Gwent cards (there was an official Witcher 3 art book released but only as part of the collector's editions; these books cannot be bought on their own unless you go through second hand vendors). I'm also a bit disappointed that some of the Gwent cards' images are breezed over without any notations or background information and smashed together four to a page. It may have helped save a bit of space, but some of the images that were chosen to receive less attention were of major or popular side characters. These are minor complaints however, as a huge fan of this franchise I loved this collection and encourage any other die hards to pick it up.

Great but...
Some of the pictures are completely ruined by how they are placed, key areas right in the middle of the book where you have to struggle to actually see them. For some reason important characters share a page with other 3 cards while a piece of wood takes an entire page, really dissapointing.Anyways, the book has a good quality and the drawings are interesting, they do get boring once they start to show random unknown characters or medieval weapons, but if you are a fan of the witcher you do get here and there characters that only appeared in the books. It is anice art book to show to friends.

Up for a round of gwent?
I am a simple man I see the Witcher I buy it. All joking aside, explore the gorgeous art of Gwent The Witcher card game! See the simply glorious art of all five current faction the Northern Realms, Skellige, Nilfgaardian Empire, Monsters, and Scoia'tael. Plus the neutral cards that go with all the current factions. I am a causal Gwent player who only plays friends for fun and not competitively and this book's art is stunning. A step up from the mini game in The Witcher 3. The art book comes with book and game lore as it adds more characters from the books. It's great art for those who love the Witcher or good artbooks. Well worth it.

Fantastic Art
My review fornanything Witcher related is probably biased because I absolutely love all things Witcher. The Witcher III is probably one of the best, if not THE BEST game I’ve ever played! And within that game there was another game called gwent that I absolutely fell in love with and would sometimes play the Witcher just to play gwent. Now gwent has become a free to play game and the artwork on each card is just fantastic. I didn’t even know there was an art book specifically for gwent until it just randomly popped up on my “things you might also like” field. This is a fantastic book and looks great on a bookshelf full of other art books.

pretty
every corner was bent, and the book was filthy. I doubt this was a new book. if you want this as a collectible I suggest purchasing it elsewhere so you can handle it with your own care. that aside, the pictures are wonderfully rendered and the size and weight could definitely be used as a weapon. very substantial book.

Beautiful illustrations, informations - GWENT & The Witcher Lore
If you loved playing GWENT in The Witcher games then you'd probably want to try GWENT from CD Projekt RED. This book is a great companion to the latest Witcher Game called GWENT that surrounds only about the fun and addictive card game GWENT! this books includes very beautiful illustration of most of the GWENT cards and adds extra lore information on them as well as extra lore on the The Withcer universe itself. very exquisite book!

Beautiful artwork and decriptions
This book has beautiful artwork, interesting background descriptions, and fun comments from the artists themselves. Witcher 3 is probably the greatest RPG game ever made and this book is a wonderful complement to it and to the super fun game of Gwent!

you're going to love this! The same applies if you're into fantasy ...
If you're a fan of the Witcher games and/or books, you're going to love this! The same applies if you're into fantasy art. If you've played the stand-alone Gwent game, you'll have seen most of this art before (although there are three illustrations from cards which have yet to be released), but when you see them as full page pictures you can appreciate their quality so much more. A number of artists are involved, but for me the works of Bryan Sala, Anna Podedworna,Bogna Gowronska and Bartomej Gowet stand out. The inclusion of explanatory text on all the full page illustrations is really welcome, although its a pity that the smaller pictures tend to have 'quotes', which are not so informative. My only gripe is with some of the choices of which cards to illustrate full page. You don't really need that much contextual text for cards like 'Savage Bear' or 'Torrential Rain' (examples of full page illustrations), whereas major characters like Dandelion, Lambert, Eskel, Olgierd and Keira Metz are smaller pictures when there is quite a lot to say about their characters.Despite this, the quality of the art and of the book itself still easily merit 5 stars.

Gorgeous book
Although it's clearly just making the most of the Witcher's current popularity to squeeze more money from us punters, it is nonetheless a lovely book and well worth poring over and admiring the artwork for die-hard fans such as myself.

The pictures are really well drawn and even I liked looking at the pictures from the cards
My boyfriend has spent hours playing Gwent and so I got him this for his birthday. The pictures are really well drawn and even I liked looking at the pictures from the cards. Good quality and a great gift for any Gwent fan.

I love qwent!
I got this as I became addicted to Qwent within the Witcher. Excellent great art prints, it really focuses on the art with short explanations of the cards. Some of the art are large full page spreads not in card format others smaller as the cards were in the game. If you enjoyed the game and the art style you'll love this.
