Airtight?
It done the job but I'm not convinced that it's airtight. Fermented down to zero but with minimal airlock movement.

Good quality
Winemaking bucket for the most effervescent stage of fermentation. The stick on thermometer is very useful when starting a must

This is a 25L bin , not 30L , as such the side markings only go up to 22L.
Please note, this is a 25 litre bin, not a 30L ie the markings on the side of the bin only go up to 22 Litres, the top of the bin being the 25L mark.Good value in that a self adhesive thermometer and an airlock are thrown aswell.Hole in the lid has a rubber grommet in so the airlock can be pushed in. ( I smear some vaseline around the grommet to make sure it's air tight otherwise CO2 gases will escape and you will not be able to tell when fermentation has begun nor ended properly - essential for good wine/beer!)

Very useful in lock down
With the pubs shut I finally used my fermenter for the first time, now we have finished one batch and have two conditioning in bottles, about the start our 4th batch. Beer is very easy, just takes a bit of cleanliness and patience. Just like this lock down.

Sealing was very good.
Very impressed with this. Easy to get a good seal especially when compared to a smaller tub that I also purchased. The airlock seal was the only thing that needed to have some silicone jelly around it. The outside lid seal worked on his own perfectly.I may buy another.

Sturdy, better for moving
This bucket is much more sturdy than our other one. This makes it much easier to carry when it's full!
