For the price it’s really not bad! It’s great if your dealing with electronics that are enclosed in something that you don’t want to blast with heat. (Like a musical instrument for example) its a bit bigger than I figured (about double actually) and takes longer than standard heat gun to get hot enough to work heat shrink. Make it cordless and smaller and you’ve got a dead ringer here!

I don't like that the cord is so short, it means I have to use an extension cord which I don't like to do. Other than that, I like that it has a plastic cover over the metal tip which protects from getting burned. I also like that it has a sturdy resting piece.

I bought it for my son for use in shirinking heat shrinkable tubes he uses for his electronics project and it works very well. It also works well when used to soften plastic parts. The tool heats up quickly is very well made and gets quite hot. We tried it use for soldering SMD parts that did not go as well, you need a nozzle that focuses the heat.

Its a good small gun

First time I turned it on it instantly got red hot and shut down in 9 seconds, tried once more the same outcome.Would not recommend, would not even have given it one star but you can't leave no star

After Every use I have to let the device rest for 15 mins before I can use it again. It’s not time efficient!
