Cheap But Not Bad
These are my first Columbia boots and they are not bad. They are true to size with room for thick socks. They were stiff out of the box and I found the top pair of boot lace hooks were useless because they put the lace knot above the boot and on my shin, so I used pliers to pinch them shut and now tie off of the 1st pair of hooks. The shape of the boot is curved in such a way to promote walking and the "Omni Heat" only works if your feet are warm; my feet were cold at the beginning of a walk, but warmed up as I warmed up. So I wouldn't recommend these boots if you do a lot of standing still in the cold. The "Omni-Grip" and the EVA is a stiffer than I prefer, so they are not the most comfortable boot I've owned. But considering they only cost $110, if they last at least 3 winters, I will be happy.

WORLDS NO#1 EXTREME COLD WEATHER SHOE /BOOT
Well people Columbia does it again. I myself have never owned a pair od there boots. when I was buying these I really hesitated to buy these on the imternet, The advertize EXTREME COLD WEATHER LIGHT WIEGHT, WATERPROOF, -10 DEDGREES. Well when I put them on they were tight so I wore the around to see if that would help, by eving my feet said no more. I was going to send them back, but I went ahead a said i will see how the fit today and Folqks I am so glad I did. They are my favortie shoes/ boots to wear all the time. and they do more than what they say. I have had them under water to the ankle and below zero weather and my feet were dry and warm. I own 7 pairs of boots now but i wear these everyday; GET A PAIR I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED AT ALL...........................................

Nice warm boots
Finally tested them on snow and happy so far. I was hiking at 25 F on snow and they were pretty warm.I usually buy sizes 12 or 13 (depending on how wide shoes are and where they manufactured). Size 12 W fits perfect.

Nice looking
I bought these for presents to be sent overseas, actually bought 2 pairs 10 and 10/5 both wide. I measured insoles and they are 28 and 28,5 cm long as most shoes in these sizes. Really like how they look. My husband (Regular size 10) tried Them both and said they fit a little wide but right length. Will try to update with more reviews after they will be tried on by the people they sent to :)Update: my dad has very wide 28cm feet wears size 10,5 and it’s perfect. My brother with regular 28cm feet wears size 10 and says it’s perfect as well. They are really hot but perfect for their snowy weather. I guess these do run a little narrow since wide version fits good my brother’s normal width feet as others mentioned. Very satisfied with this purchase!

$100 boots, 10 cent insoles
What is it with shoe and boot manufacturers? Make a decent pair of insulated boots and put a piece of newspaper between your foot and the sole of the boot. I replaced the factory insole with a $4 after-market one and it's perfect. A lightweight, insulated, comfortable (after you figure out how to fit the tongue around your ankle so the upper rivets don't dig in) boot.

Very Comfortable
The fit is spot on and the boots are very comfortable! They are not as warm as other insulated boots I have owned but with wool socks you can get by. One annoying issue is that the top most shoestring hold is too close to the top of the boot. If you you use it your shoestrings will ride up over the tongue and into your leg.

Honest review
After wearing today for only the 5th time, I found out that ARE NOT waterproof!!. I walked on short wet grass today for about 1hr and somehow have wet insoles?? They fit nice and snug but have no cushion for the bottom of your feet!! I do however like the look but for this price, wet and sore feet are unacceptable

Quality Boot
the boot looked great, felt like good quality, but seems sizing has changed since the last time I bought winter boots from Columbia so I am currently exchanging the one I bought for another size. Very hopeful they fit as they check all the boxes I desire (light, low bulk, good style, waterproof)

Size Wise, I Took a Chance on These....
Hi there, brought these boots to replace a trusty pair of Johns Cliffe leather field walking boots (tread wearing now) that I bought years back locally. Ordered a UK size 9, after assessing the sizing guidance on both Amazon and Columbia's UK website on foot length after measuring my feet in both imperial and metric to be on the safe side as this is my first purchase of any Columbia’s gear. (Note*: I'm normally size 8 mens in virtually all footwear I have). The boots arrived swiftly using the standard free delivery and I was looking forward to inspecting and trying on for the fit. Whilst first impressions were pleasing regarding the soles and uppers, I feel the sizing guidance was disappointingly inaccurate from both parties. The toe box was far too roomy for my liking and felt like I was wearing boots that were somewhat two sizes too big in this area, but yet the heel area was a good fit. However before I concluded to return them I did consider that I do normally wear two socks in walking boots, and wether this was enough to stick with the UK size 9 or return. That said, I made my decision and swiftly returned them in to Amazon as there was no option to change for a different size regarding this order; so that meant creating a separate order to overcome that issue. Now armed with my size 9 experience and size guidance once again, I opted for a half size down taking into account the thermal lining I felt these boots might make my feet run on the warm side so was causcious of downsizing to far. Decided on UK size 8.5 which turned up today. Checked them over and pulled them on with my standard two pair of socks and I'm pleased to say the fit was pretty much what I was hopping for, so I'm encouraged by that as being a good sign. As these boots are synethtic outer bonded on leather, I suspect they may require a bit of time to wear in due to their being not as supple as an all leather boot in that respect, but this is not a negative as it was the outer surface of these boots that was a conscious factor in my purchase along with the reduced price being circa £65 from RRP of £110 on Amazon. The synthetic outer helps reduce the weight of the boots which is always a welcome plus, and something I was keen to acheive. Another requirement was a good healthy tread on the soles and some give in cushioning department of the boot when walking, which it seems to suitably have. Along with that all important requirement of being waterproof. Although these are described as winter boots, for my purposes they are to be used typicaly for hiking & treking through cold heavily muddy fields and woodlands, maybe even over some rocky terrain. The spec of the boot suggests that it will cope suitably these demands and from reviews of Columbia‘s footwear in general the build quality seems to be highly rated particularly by those from USA & Canada. The UK size 8.5 weigh in at 546g per boot compared to my leather ones at 730g each. (UKSize 9 were weighed at 564g per boot). Colour wise at time of buying there's only the Heat Black, TiGrey colour combination available within the UK market, compared to others worldwide, but actually this was fortunately my preferred option anyway. The black & grey combo works really well being neutral in colour, and should team up well with my outdoor treking clothing. At this stage of things I'm satisfied with my purchase and in a few weeks time they will hopefully be tested out about, around and along the Dorset coast line area. Until then for any further update, I hope this helps you out if considering this well thought through boot from the Columbia brand.

Buyer beware
Initially the boots were warm and comfortable. After first amble, I cleaned the boots as usual and was horrified to see that the welt at the front was completely detached from boot. In 40 years of walking and mountaineering I have never seen this in a walking boot. Not recommended. Returned and prompt reimbursement by Amazon.

Different class! You get what you pay for!!
Fantastic boot worth paying for! First pair of Columbia boots I've owned, they are warm, completely waterproof, very comfortable, excellent grip and really well put together.I've walked around 60 miles in them so far and put them though their paces. Its January, cold, wet and very muddy. Ive walked in deep mud, 3 inches of snow, torrential rain and even decided to stand in the sea on the North Wales coast for a laugh (its lock down #3 why not!).I cannot fault them, well done Columbia, they are a different class! If you need a warm, completely waterproof winter boot, then these are the boots to buy! Worth every penny, look no further!

Nice Boot
Only worn a couple of times so far. Hoping these are better than others from other sellers which leaked within a few weeks.

50% defective
No visible holes but right boot lets water in, so effectively useless. I can even wear them in the summer as they are insulated.
