Easy to fit and use.
When my old smoke detectors packed in I replaced them with these Kidde one's which literally screwed into the same hole's and was for a change a five minute job!

They usually work well, and ok so far.

One ten year battery failed immediately, the other well within 10 months. Avoid
Purchased a twin pack of the 10 year battery ones. On install one immediately started chirping it's low battery warning, the other lasted less than 10 months. 10 year life? Was tempted to send them back, but the return label bore the legend 'affix postage here'. Unimpressive. Stick to normal battery smoke alarms, I can't recommend these Kidde alarms at all. Their quality control isn't what it used to be.

Constant false alarm.
Only had these one year and constantly giving false alarm. tried vacuuming them and blowing them out but still goes off day or night with doors open and closed.
