AMAZING for quilting rulers. I was SICK of my rulers slipping and tired of fighting with the grip stickers/pads most people recommend. I heard about this and gave it a try and sprayed it on a small ruler. PROBLEM SOLVED! No more slipping, mis cuts, etc. Rulers stay in constant, complete contact with fabric. Now ALL my rulers have this coating on them. It works even better on the bigger rulers. Best quilting “notion” I’ve ever purchased. Great value, dries super fast, very easy to apply, holds up great. Buy it. You won’t regret it.

Goes on very lightly and creates a great surface so my rulers don’t stick on my fabric.

this is an excellent product, instantly upped my quilting ease, enjoyment and accuracy. i was squaring a ton of 4 1/2" hsts, had even purchased a 4 1/2 inch square ruler to make it go faster. i still had to stand up and get directly over each piece and really use downward force to achieve an accurate cut, and still slipped on occasion.my fingers were getting sore and so was my back from standing over the table so long. and it was still taking forever because no matter how i tried, whenever i turned the mat the ruler slipped a tiny bit.so i bought this. took a ruler i rarely use outside and gave it the fastest, lightest spray. tried it on my fabric and WOW, what a difference. sprayed my new 4 1/2" ruler and within a couple minutes was zipping through the squaring- sitting down, no massive pressure needed to keep everything in place, spinning the piece while it stayed perfe tly in place.from exasperated and sore to such a pleasure, just like that. if my review sounds too good to be true, it's real. check to see that i write a lot of reviews, both good and bad.just be sure you give your ruler the lightest spray possible, so you can still see clearly through it. that's all it takes, really.

Definitely grips! So much better than the little grip fits! It drys fast and your ruler no longer shifts.

Pros-it really does give your rulers a textured feel and holds tight to the fabric.It dries relatively fast. After drying, the rulers are slightly opaque but still visible through them.Cons- there is an odor when spraying, best to do it in a ventilated area.Also, after several days, the sprayed area feels slightly gritty and loses the grip on the fabric. This may be that I didn't coat the entire ruler with layers and layers on product.Overall, still recommend because it does hold the ruler to the fabric.

When I spray Grippy on the back of my quilting rulers THEY DO NOT MOVE when I’m cutting fabric. It doesn’t discolor the ruler or the fabric, you can still see thru the ruler, it just doesn’t slip as I move the rotary cutter along the length of the ruler. Great product!

I first saw this spray on a YouTube show and bought straight away. You don’t have to use that much. Just a light spray will do. It dries quickly (about 1 minute) and your template is ready to use.I find it better than the stick on dots because I like my rulers flat to the fabric. This makes my rotary cutting much easier.As with all aerosol sprays, if your sensitive, you do want a well ventilated area before you spray you rulers.Clean up is easy. I just wash the spray off and reapply as needed.
