The process is important! Results good.
I used the product to dye two white T shirts and one pair of worn looking and bleached damaged jeans in an attempt to make them look good. The shirts came out beautiifully.. a perfect denim blue with no blotches. The Jeans almost as good, but the bleached damaged areas still showed discoloration. I had a very large kitchen sink, one 3 gallon bucket and one 5 gallon bucket to use. Also a big pot on the stove to get an additional 6 quarts of water near boiling to make sure the dye bath was hot enough. Following the instructions was important. The process was interesting.. and not a drop was spilled. I also used the color fixative at the the end. Final step was a cold rinse and spin in the washing machine. To salvage a valuable garment... worth it. For a cheap T shirt... maybe not. I'll experiment more over time!

Cherry red is not colorfast even with the color fixative
I dyed several items in my front loader with one bottle per garment, and the garments (and one Vera bag) came out gorgeous. It’s an intense and happy shade. The white cotton and linen soaked up the color quite intensely. A cotton shirt with a no wrinkle finish came out pale but still pretty. The Vera bag was shades of beige and a bit humdrum and came out aqua with greenish beige flowers, looking much better. With all the dye loads, I simply put a half cup of salt in hot water and one bottle of dye, put dye fixative in the tray, and started the load to add the hot water. I added the garment as soon as the dye and salt were mixed and ran the load without extra rinses. It was easy. I would just advise NOT putting dye in the tray because it spilled over and made a mess when I did that. Just don’t pour the dye onto a garment. Also, make sure that your garment is clean and really wet when you put it into the front loader washer. I do miss having a top loader for dying things, because you can dye more at once and get even saturation of color, but it can still be done with a front load washer with success. Post script. I used cherry red and loved it. I used the color fixative. I wore my 100% linen shirt dyed cherry red and my skin and bra got dyed. I rewashed it and put it in more color fixative. Still not color fast and is now a pale color. Not happy with cherry red. The other colors are more colorfast, I think. I noticed that someone tried to dye her rykas after putting scotchbright on them. The scotchbright is a repellant, so it stopped the dye from penetrating. Just keep in mind that any chemical treatments done to fabric will effect color absorption. It’s possible that my linen shirt isn’t holding the red dye because it was somehow treated with a finish that is not on the fabric label. I bought more than one of this shirt because it was on sale and am dyeing it now. It seems like it is uneven in coloration, so possibly it’s the shirt.

The colour can be unexpected.
I bought black paint for my swimsuit, which had faded significantly. I intended to achieve a black color, but after applying it over the blue, it turned green, which I actually loved. If I'd painted it a second time, it might have turned a deeper black. The instructions warned that some fabrics can't be dyed, and unfortunately, the threads of my nylon swimsuit stayed blue. However, this doesn’t detract from its look. I'm considering trying other colors for future projects! Thanks

Easy to use
I was nervous to use this as I haven’t dyed clothes before, but I read the instructions & found it easy to use. Didn’t stain my washer & worked great! So glad I took a chance!

Good dye easy to use
Could not find any yellow plain shirts for me. Anywhere. All f them either they didn’t have any cotton at all (I hate synthetic), or they had a design on, or it was not my style.Do I decided to buy white shorts and dye them.Made my shirts very lemon bright yellow, loving it overall. I should’ve probably used a bit less to get the lighter hue I was going for, but I’m happy with the results and they’re very even, no off-spots.I also used the fixative after so that made it very colorfast.Only thing, the instructions on the bottle are very tiny print, which the shrink wrapping of the label makes it ever harder to read, with my glasses on!And I had hoped to not have to constant stir for 30 minutes, but that’s with any dye pretty much I suppose.Thumbs up. I used 1/2 bottle for 2 XL T-shirts. Maybe 1/4 to 1/3 to get a lighter yellow would’ve sufficed.I did this in a tall stainless steel pot in my kitchen sink. The fixative right after rinsing clear, same process. Then I threw in washer and dryer.(Photo is only a partial, but you can still see the vibrant color of it)

Fertig. Hat die Hose eine neue tolle Farbe.
