A must play Visual Novel. Spoiler free guide below for good ending
Such an amazing visual novel. The warnings aren’t for show, it’s actually creepy. I can’t say to much, but no other visual novel or game compares to DDLC. It’s a romantic visual novel that uses tropes and cliches to twist knots into your soul and break you, enjoy!I’d say this is most enjoyable with two or more people, it would be helpful to bounce ideas around with someone during the play through, but not necessary. I played this solo, but I had a lot of questions and theories along the way. Of course my fear of spoilers kept me from looking anything up. There’s a lot of hidden messages within this game. Keep your eyes open for little details. It goes very deep, so if you’re confused after playing this, I’d suggest looking into some of the game theories involving the background of these characters; as well as some of the hidden images, web pages and notes. It’s amazing that so much detail went into a game that was originally free, especially considering most people would probably never see any of the hidden symbolism and messages. It’s very inspiring that they put so much detail in this, it’s still free to play on steam if you don’t want the side stories. I feel this is a must play VN, if not a must play game in general.Spoiler Free Guide:In as much of a spoiler free way as possible, if you want the best possible ending choose one girl and stick with her. Within the files on the game desktop there’s a list for which poem words each character likes or prefers. You can also look up “poem word guide” online, either way will work. Make sure that on the day of the festival that you save as early as possible, and completely start over choosing another girl to romance. Do not overwrite your save data. You want three separate save files with the stopping point the day of the festival. So one save file for Sayori, one save file for Natsuki and one save file for Yuri; make sure you save on the day of the festival. When you choose a girl just simp for them and choose every answer you think they want to hear, it’s fairly obvious and doesn’t require a guide. If you don’t have 3 saves, one save for each girl on the day of the festival, you’re stuck with the “bad” ending. For each of the 3 saves, you’re romancing only one girl and only writing poems for the girl you chose for each save. If you have 3 separate saves, 1 for each love interest before the start of the festival, you’re locked into the good ending. On the third and final girl, instead of starting over, just continue the story like you would normally. Honestly it’s worth the effort as you can see all the CG’s, and you can skip all the text you’ve already read. It wont add another 30 minutes to go the extra mile for the other two girls. The good ending was worth the extra work, I feel it was more impactful, and it’ll stick with me for a long time. With this info you can rest easy that you’ll see everything there is to see with your first play through, and not have to worry about major spoilers.Be very wary about looking anything up, spoilers are all over the internet and will ruin this game for you. Once you finish the game, look up the two alternate endings as they can be completed in less than a few minutes and are worth the effort. On PlayStation this is an easy Platinum and can be achieved over a weekend, but it is slightly censored during one scene, and honestly, it does take away from the original scene. I was a little disappointed when I first experienced that scene, you’ll know when it happens. But for those on PlayStation, it doesn’t ruin anything. I bought and completed both the PS5 and Switch versions of the game. If you have the option to choose, I’d recommend the Switch version over the PlayStation version. The Nintendo Switch edition is not censored at all. Trophy hunting was a lot of fun on PlayStation though, so if you’re someone who enjoys that like I do; the censored scene might not bother you so much. Enjoy!

a thrilling mind-horror for those with a strong psyche
One of my favorite psychological horrors I've ever had the fortune coming upon. In fact this game opened my eyes to this kind of genre and I only wish that the creators would make more of this kind of games, or that the game was longer to enjoy the clever and shocking story unfold. Despite the sugar-coated looks of a traditional anime dating sim, it takes this feature to the extreme advantage to set you into a very unsettling feeling after the first half of the game plays out.Fair warning-- this game does touch in themes of mental health and disturbing scenarios, so please research this game before buying. The premium physical edition adds a few paper goodies into the game's case, so it's a must-have for fans of the game who wish to play on the Nintendo Switch!

All the bonus stuff is inside the normal Nintendo switch game case!
Everybody saying they didn't get the bonus stuff posted a review before opening the game case. All the bonus stuff is inside the normal Nintendo switch game case.Review:Doki Doki Literature Club is an interactive horror video game developed by Team Salvato. It was released on February 1, 2018 on the Nintendo Switch. The game is an extension of the 2017 visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club, in which the player plays as a high school student named Yuri who is asked by his childhood friend Monika to join the Literature Club, a club he already joined in middle school.Doki Doki Plus has great character and terrain design. I just wish there was more variety, but overall it’s very good. The soft, romantic music is great, unlike some of the darker songs in this game’s OST. Thankfully, the game now has a music player for your favorite songs.Gameplay wise it’s a visual romance punctuated by the choice of words you think one of the three girls will like. Nice story, but not many options to choose from.in closing Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! brings a much needed change to the quality of the original game. If you like visual novels, horror, puzzles or all of the above, this is a good, cheap game to try out.
