These work, plain and simple. Hard to beat the industry standard. They’re my go-to brand.

Spreading and clamping.
Great clamp. I like the newer option to be able to use it to spread as well as clamp. It slides well and is easy to clamp and release.

Quality at an affordable price, but not top shelf.
I bought this set to jerry rig into fishing pole holders at the pier. Did not work for that purpose, but they are good clamps and I've had more of these. Again, I really did not need a pair, but there seemed to be no way to buy just one that I saw.I am very pleased by these clamps. They have a very positive and sturdy mechanism, and they develop more clamping pressure than those I've used in the past. They hold their set clamping force without the gradual slippage. All moving parts that are involved in producing and holding the clamping pressure are made from fairly heavy metal. The actual handles are plastic, and the actual clamping jaws seem to be made from a fiber-reinforced plastic of some sort, which are heavier built and apparently sturdier than other ones. The slip-on pads on the jaws are not the greatest, but they seem to do the job well enough.PRO:1. Price per foot.2. Brand.3. Reputation.CON:1. Lacks some of the 'kool' features a more expensive set would have.2. Can't buy just one.3. Plastic can snap over the years, but that plastic keeps the price down.OTHER:BUY if you want reliable product.DON'T BUY if you are wanting top shelf product, that'll cost ya more $$.

Pretty cool tool
This was a super useful tool in replacing some slings on a sling chair. You can use it for clamping something tighter together or with a simple slip of one end pushing something out. I used both for this project... I purchased a large one as it was for chairs...it can go down pretty small but it is hard to use with one hand to hold in place and squeeze..... ultimately a pletha of different sizes would be a great gift... the only thing I wish was a little different at least for the project I used it for....the rubber ends are textured but a rubber end with pointed teeth might have grabbed better.

Yes there are cheaper brands. Buy this anyway.
These clamps are great. Easy to use and they don't break. You only need one hand to clamp them, leaving your other hand free to line up the pieces. Great when you are working on projects alone. Not just for gluing stuff, these can give you extra hands while making decks, furniture, etc. You can level a board and then lock it in place, then go back and secure it with screws.Yes, you can buy some that look almost identical from other manufacturers for much less money, but these don't break. IE - I bought 6 HF clamps a few years ago, but they ALL broke in the first 30 seconds of use - not exaggerating. You will probably buy more of these, but only because they are so useful, not because they break. My oldest Irwin Quick clamps are 15+ yrs old and still working great.Only think to avoid is leaving them outside in the rain all week, as they will rust if you do, and then they don't work very well (but you can wire brush them back to life)

Strong grip and easy to remove
Love the Irwin clamp line. The grip is wicked strong and easy to remove from the product. I use them when making American Flag Challenge Coin holders to clamp the wood strips together which make up the stripes in the flag. These are worth the price way over other retailers that have wood clamps for under $10. You get what you pay for and in Irwins product line is concerned, these are worth the money.
