Great sub for the price
I run just a single 8" Black Diamond in my truck to fill out the low end and this has been great. I originally had a single Skar 4ohm sub but it didn't sound great paired to my Alpine monobock amp. I definitely get more/better low bass from this BD sub but it's certainly not going to shake the neighbors houses. A few of them would but that's not my goal.

Middle of the road sound
Got 2 of these while on sale for 37 dollars each, for the price you get some good loud deep bass in the right box, forget the guy talking about getting kicker instead lmao 🤣 😂 😆 overpriced bull for not alot of output SMH these subs together are on par with my buddies 12inch kicker solox, nuff said

Total crap
These are absolutely junk. Instantly burned up my $300 taramp. They had something messed up with the wiring at the voice coils I believe. Didn't tear it apart to find out but like I said instantly went crazy as soon as I hooked them up. Been doing car audio installs for well over 20 years

Nice!
After blowing my 8” Skar woofers, I purchased this one as they looked similar but less money. After running 500 watts RMS through them after break in period I have had no issues. Great product for the money.

It thumps
I waited about 3 months for this. So far it's doing good for the way I use it. More of a complementary component rather than a thumper to annoy people. It can thump, but I'm a classic and 90s rock guy and this should serve me well for many many years. Sounds clean and looks mean. No smell.

Good budget sub, but requires a large enclosure.
This Black Diamond 12" sub is a decent budget option. Xmax is about on par for this level of sub design and the lower power handling combined with decent sensitivity means it gets reasonably loud without being pushed. The terminal connectors felt a little on the loose side, but seemed to hold my wire tight enough. Testing this in a smallish sealed enclosure at 200W I was pleasantly surprised at the output, however the deeper bass notes (<40Hz) struggled compared to the mid and upper bass frequencies. This is likely due to my test enclosure (1.25CuFt) as after modeling in WinISD it shows that the DIA-12S optimally wants a 1.75+CuFt sealed enclosure and a ported enclosure should be even larger if you want sub 40Hz tuning; all while keeping the power in check to avoid over excursion. This is a decent budget sub, but you have to be willing to sacrifice some enclosure volume for optimal results.
