Luminara Scalloped Edge Flameless LED Candle - Ivory 3.5" x 8.75" - Real Wax Pillar Battery Operated Moving Flame w/Timer Unscented 1000Hr Runtime

It's almost impossible to find a better battery operated candle anywhere than the genuine Luminaria. I've tried various types/brands over the past several years, and finally decided to try a genuine Luminaria on the recommendation of a relative. I've always shied away from the high cost of these, but found one online that seemed reasonable. Other reviewers assured me that this was the genuine Luminaria brand. The variety of battery powered candles available these days can mislead a buyer if you're not really careful...some say "luminaria" while they are NOT actually that brand. One reviewer said to only buy those that list Luminaria as the seller, and that's what I did with my first purchase, but not this one. This one arrived in the official sealed Luminaria box, and the brand is also located on the battery compartment lid. I'm very happy with this purchase...and, unlike some other reviewers who said theirs had an unwanted fragrance, mine does not have any scent, just as the advertisement said it would not. I bought a bigger 7" tall Luminaria candle several months ago (the seller for that one was Luminaria) which had a light vanilla fragrance, which I like. It was advertised as having that fragrance and that was correct. I have used that candle for 3 months, turning it on with the remote at dark and then off once we have left that room for the night. The first set of D batteries I put in that one is still going strong. I expect the same battery life in this smaller candle I just bought, as it also uses D batteries. My first Luminaria candle came with a remote, and this one does not have one. But, my original remote also works with this candle as it was 'remote ready' when I bought it. I have had other types of battery candles that used either ' two C' or two 'AA' batteries, which seem to last only about a month using the timer function of 'on 4 hours, off 20'. Another 5" I have one of a different brand that uses three AAA batteries with a timer only lasts 3 weeks at best, using the timer of 5 on/19 off. That's around 105 hours and requires frequent battery changing. The Luminaria advertises 500 hours with the timer function of 5 hours on, 19 off in use!! I have only used it with the remote function since I rarely need it on for 5 hours at a time. ..but have occasionally left it on longer before remembering to turn it off. I highly recommend these Luminaria candles. They are so realistic you can hardly believe they are not the real thing. I thought my older, smaller candle, the one that uses AAA batteries and has a flame similar to the Luminaria's, was realistic looking UNTIL I bought a genuine Luminaria and realized there is no comparison. They are perfect on a mantel, or any other setting where you don't need a 360 degree view of the candle. The flame device is flat and the candle top is sloped downward a little from back to front, so the front view is the most ideal. I understand there is a 360 degree view Luminaria out now, but haven't actually seen one of those in use. These are just wonderful, safe candles which give the illusion of beautiful candlelight.

I love the flickering flame and the 5 hour timer.

This is the candle I wanted. I love how the flame really looks like a flame. I used it on my enclosed porch at Christmas. I didn't have to worry about fire. My problem is that I don't seem to think correctly. This candle is beautiful and the right height; however, I wish it were a little thinner. My fault. I think the remote was thrown out with some other stuff from Christmas. My fault. Still beautiful and almost perfect. :)

I use these, and I've tried others, but these are the best. I've purchased numerous, and given for gifts too. They are beautiful and classy. They use two "C" batteries and the remote is great.

I bought two of these for church. They're absolutely beautiful and you'd never know they weren't real candles. In fact, one Sunday after church someone tried to blow them out when service was over!

The media could not be loaded.  After trying out several Luminara LED candles. I settled on this 4x9 Remote Ready candle.It has just the right size and presence for the intended space it’s in, large enough to command attention but not so large it dominates the space. I especially like it because it is a “Remote Ready” candle.I recently made a discovery about Luminara candles while browsing on other websites selling battery operated candles for other Luminara candles not found on Amazon.I found out the term, “Remote Ready” means a candle with that designation, it’s flame movements can be controlled from still flame to medium to fast flickering flame. You can also control the candle’s brightness, four level brightness options.These features can only be accessed using Luminara’s 10 feature Remote, a ten-button remote.This ten button remote also offer several timer options, four, six, eight and ten-hour timers.You can do a “Luminara 10 button Remote” search to find this remote.The features on this 10 button Remote will only work on “Remote Ready” candles. Of course the on/off button will work on non Remote Ready candles.The Liown remote , pictured here, is made from the same manufacturer that manufactures Luminara’s candles. This is the remote I use. You can easily find it searching,Liown Remote. Although noted in description, candle will require 2 D batteries. Colour is noted ivory ... a yellow look to wax.

Oltre che essere una bella candela, ricoperta di vera cera, ciò che la contraddistingue da quasi tutte le altre è l’alimentazione con 2 batterie D (torcia) che consente un tempo di accensione molto lungo.Quasi tutte le altre in commercio sono alimentate da batterie AAA oppure AA la cui la durata è notevolmente inferiore.

Son unas velas bastante realistas pero que nadie espere milagros en cuanto a que no se note que la llama es artificial. Aún así, el efecto es bueno y el ambiente que dan es muy relajante. Me parecen caras con respecto a otras de la competencia aunque no puedo comparar calidades. Mejor comprarlas con el mando ya que su manejo es mucho más cómodo y se evitan futuros problemas con el interruptor de encendido. Para resumir: estoy contento con la compra.

C'est une bougie extraordinaire, en cire véritable et avec une flamme plus vraie que nature (elle bouge avec l'air ambiant). Vous pouvez l'admirer pendant des heures, il faut juste 2 piles D (= 1000 heures) . Elle fait même un point d'éclairage très agréable pour la méditation ou sur le bureau....Merci, merci, merci à ses créateurs!
