A Different Kind of Hero: A Guided Journey through the Bible’s Misfits

I'm currently reading through this book, and I love it. The perspective is refreshing as well as interesting. Each chapter is focused on a different person from the Bible, a retelling of his/her story, and ending with additional Scriptures as well as questions for you to ponder. This is a good study guide for anyone who enjoys studying more about Biblical heroes and misfits. I am an avid reader of Sally Clarkson's books. The books co-written with her children are just as well written.

This book is AMAZING! I love the take on heroes, pointing out that even the most famous of characters were flawed but usable by God. I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone at any point in their Christian walk.

I really enjoyed reading about all the 'misfits' - characters from the Bible. Whether we are familiar with them or not - the author engages us with them in a new and beautiful way. Intelligent, heartwarming, life affirming. If you feel 'different' as I so often do - please read this.
