It works!
I put it on the setting with the flashing light and siren and it worked. I finally got rid of my neighbor's cat that came to my yard to poop every day!

Cats or young humans?
Not sure if it is working for cats, but I haven't seen any recently on my patio. However, my 30 YO neighbor can't stand it.

No more raccoons
Has worked extremely well. I haven't gotten any more raccoons in the yard since installing this at the gate

Doesn't work but 2 feet in front of the unit.
Very disappointed in these Solar Alert Monitors, I purchased 2 to spread around my yard to keep raccoons out but they don't work as advertised. They will go off if there is movement within 2 feet directly in front but any further distance, they are useless. So, I had to purchase 2 more from someone else that actually work 25 ft out before the raccoons get in my yard. Bad purchase.

Does NOT deter deer from eating all my plants
I was hopeful these would work and scare the deer away. Every year they ruin my yard and eat all beautiful tulips and flowers. unfortunately, they do nothing. I purchased 6 of these and they don't even care that about high pitched sound. They just continue forward and eat all my shrubs!

It does not reach too far
I have bought 5 already (different sellers) but it does not deter possums or armadillos. I use 1-3 frequency but so far is not working against those 2 critters aroung my plants.

Too noisy for it to work
you need to turn the dial to a loud sound for it to work. Unfortunately you and the raccoons will hear it. So you can't really turn it on to be effective, or your neighbors will complain! Instructions were sorely inadequate.
