Great deal on very good pickups
These sound great. Even output, perfect fit and very quiet. No complaints at all.

Very pleased with the results
These pickups are a little brighter and more defined than the stock pickups of a Fender American Standard jazz bass. Single coil hum is gone. I'm hearing more grit in the tone which is not what I was expecting with stacked coils. The voicing hasn't left the realm of the familiar Fender jazz sound. It just feels and sounds enhanced and works very well with dirt/overdrive and octaver.

Awesome pickups!
I replaced the stock pickups in my Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass these pickups are way better. Noise is pretty much non existent and I've now got a much wider tonal range. The bridge pick up has more bark and my tone knob now actually gives me treble. Really am glad I got these!!

Much taller than stock Jazz Bass pickups
I installed these in a 2001 American Deluxe Jazz Bass. They're are about 3/16" taller than the stock pickups. I had to remove the stock brass plates from the bottoms of the pick up cavities so they would fit. I also had to remove the lead wires and re-solder them so they come from the top side of the bottom plate of the bobbin. Otherwise, the radii of these wires would keep the pickus up too high in the cavities. Bottom line is I have them slammed down as far as they will go in the cavities and I have a marginally acceptable pick up height. There is certainly no room for the foam they include to spring these up from the bottom. There is no room for adjustment. I will route out 1/8" or so from the bottoms of the pick up cavities to get some room to adjust. So far, I'm pleased with the tone. They are quiet, as advertised. I need to play more to figure out the best set up on these.

Great hum cancelling and great sound on my Fender Jazz Bass Marcus Miller signature
I mounted these on my Japan-made Fender Jazz Bass Marcus Miller signature, 4 strings. They sound really good and they cancel hum really well. They are taller than standard jazz pickups, so you might want to take that into account when you assemble them. On my bass, I used the micro-tilt adjustment to increase the height of the neck with respect to the body, to give more space to the pickups. I also used a VERY THIN foam under these pickups, to keep them as low as possible. Now the bass is perfectly setup, with the following string-to-magnet distances, measured by keeping the last fret pressed:Neck Pickup: E=3.5mm G=3.25mmBridge Pickup: E=3.00mm G=2.75mm

These pups are really noiseless and they sound great.
These two pickups are delightfully noiseless. They replaced the original V-Mod II single-coil pickups on a jazz bass, which were unacceptably noisy through a Fender Rumble 100. These pickups are absolutely silent when you need them to be.With the original pickups you can only avoid the 60-cycle hum when the pickups are set to the same volume. With the Fender Generation 4 Noiseless Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups you can set the volumes any way you want with no hum. This gives you more tone options.

Defective on first order
Original Review (1 Star): Bridge pickup was dead on arrival, amazon is sending replacements and I will update if they actually work the 2nd time. Judging by some other reviews, quality control is lacking.Update: Pickups are great and easy to install now that I have an actual working set. Installed on MIM jazz bass no issues with fit or anything. They are a bit taller but I only need to trim the sponge on the bridge one which took 10 seconds so no big.
