I sealed my teak table with this about an hour ago and I am so pleased with how easy it was to apply and even happier with the color. I bought the Natural tone and it gave the table a nice straw color, pale and natural looking, no orange tones. Oddly, the photos I saw of teak treated with the Clear tone looked quite orange. This does not. The wood had a bit of variation in the planks and that was visible without treatment and still visible after. It didn't turn it all to one solid color, which I like. The table just looks like natural wood but water now beads on it, repelling the moisture. The Natural is the color of a light cup of coffee and has about the same watery consistency. I applied it with a rag and it was a piece of cake, no drips at all. I used a craft paint brush for the little edges and with the paintbrush it did drip, I mention that to suggest that you use a rag over a brush.I've added photos so you can see the color of the wood before and after. Very, very happy with this product.

Good stuff
I bought Semco preservative (honey tone) for my outdoor chairs long needing attention - the sealer goes on easy and smooth and I needed 2 coats to get the final look I wanted. The color looks great and I would recommend this product. I am waiting to see how the wet weather affects the lookout so far all looks great after 2 months in dry summer.

I used painter's rags (the kind that are like very heavy paper towels
My teakwood table and chairs look gorgeous! After reading the reviews, I decided to ignore the sealer directions and rub this on. I placed paper a square of paper under each leg so that I didn't get any sealer on my sunroom floor. I used painter's rags (the kind that are like very heavy paper towels,) dipped a little in the sealer, and just rubbed it on. I didn't have any dripping. It was very easy to do. However, I didn't have appropriate gloves for the varnish- I just used what I had on hand. I started out with painter's latex gloves. I went through 2 pair pretty quickly. I, then, switched to dishwasher gloves. I went through 2 pairs of those as well, but they lasted a lot longer. I put two coats on my whole table and 8 chairs with just 1 quart. It was very tight. I, literally, did not have one drop left. I didn't seal under the table because I was afraid I would run out. I wish I had bought more.

Love the color, the simplicity of use, and the end results.
My friend uses this product ever year to refinish her Teak table. I bought a used Teak table, sanded it down, used a cleaner, and finished it off with this wonderful product,

Not to be used with teak sets from Home Depot - huge disappointment
- Bought entire gallon for $90 thinking it'd last many years - what a joke- Did a lot of research on treating teak outdoor furniture - most sites said sealers are much better than oils/stains - several recommended Semco- Very thin liquid with suspended pigment that must be stirred up constantly- Table was prepped exactly as instructed - allowed to weather for a week or two - clean and dry surface - apply 2 coats same day- Applies easily with rag or pad - does make water bead up to a certain extent- Did not prevent mold at all on a teak set purchased from Home Depot! This was after recommended 2 coats. Mold grew within 1-2 months- Maybe works better on top quality teak, but that would be mold resistant anyway!- Nowhere on labeling does it say it must be used with top grade teak wood only, otherwise it'll look/perform poorly- Made wood look like it was painted very lightly - very unnatural appearance- I had to scrub it off with bleach/soap solution and it came off easily on a sponge as a brownish residue - nasty and concerning how easily it rubbed off- had to get Amazon to authorize a refund well after return period as you can only know this doesn't work after several months- I decided to just let the wood weather to silvery color - after a few months like that, no mold!!!

Two Stars
Does not seal the teak as advertised even after applying two coats.

Wow what an entrance!
Well, Zuni Chopra is a debut novelist. All I can say is, Wow, what an entrance! It is a fantasy that is unique. No dragons and no dwarves. Really? Since that is the type of fantasy I write (as Ajax Minor), I was especially appreciative of her ability to build the template for a world out of her own imagination. The story is actually about a house that speaks to her main character, Zoon Razdan, a young lady about to turn fifteeen who takes on the role of Guardian against a sinsister force. The allegory between the darkness that is Kashmir and the darkness within each of us was well done and clear. And her solution was imaginative. But I'll let you, the reader, discover that. One minor stylistic quibble. Chopra's descriptions of places, things and feelings are beautifully drawn and she constructs some marvelous tropes. However sometimes she leans too heavily on the adjective. Sometimes using two adjectives where one would do, allowing the reader's imagination to fill in the spaces. Sometimes she has adjectives modifying adjectives. Less can be more. But the one thing we want more of is stories like The House that Spoke from a very talented young author.

Amazing sealer. We laid teak wood floors in two bathrooms and applied three coats of sealer. Water beads nicely. A little goes a long way, the gallon will last awhile. Shipping was fast and well packaged (bubble wrap and clips on the lid).
