Fantastic resource for those looking to feed without pellet or looking to reduce feed costs!
If you want to know what kind of things to plant to provide a nutrient dense forage for your rabbits whether you're gathering yourself or have tractors, this is an incredible source. Information is given on protein amounts needed for each life stage, what plants/ hays to feed, what plants aren't safe. Fantastic book, a wealth of information, and a quick read. This book isn't going to break down the nutritional content of things, but does recommend a diverse diet to cover all bases.

Simple, informative
This is helpful for especially beginners. But I learned a few things with it. Simple, easy to understand even for a tween.Definitely one to keep on hand for the “cheat sheet” of safe plants for rabbits.

May be some bad information in this book
Everything I have seen, heard, or read says legumes and night shades are bad and to avoid the whole plant. The book contains lists that include the leaves of legumes and whole tomatoes as safe. Again this contrasts slot of other information. Short easy to read book but not sure I can trust it as a good pocket guide of what to feed rabbits in a pinch.

Save money
You keep rabbits, whether for meat or as pets, pellets can go way beyond your affordable budgets and it could be so much easier and almost cost you next to nothing but a bit of time."Beyond The Pellet" gives you plenty of ideas how to grow and process your own rabbit food.

Writen with farming, not pets, in mind
Insightful book, however it's COMPLETELY written around rabbits being caged for meat, so the language is quite unpleasant in places for those looking to enrich the lives of their companion animals.Very little nutritional information besides 'it's natural' and 'I've had success therefore it's ok'. The whole book is written around creating nutritious meat for humans, and not necessarily giving buns a long life, so I'd questions whether a lot of the plants, or this diet at all, is ok to feed long term.It is ok as a starting point for further research, and maybe a single source if you're planning on raising your own meat. But if you're looking to create nutritious meals for your beloved pets, this very short (almost a blog post) book is best taken with a pinch of salt, and supplemented by extensive research elsewhere.
