I Should've Bought This Years Ago - Makes Cutting Thicker Branches a BREEZE
Of the many gardening purchases I've made over the years, the Greenworks 24V 6" Brushless Mini Chainsaw is one of the items I wish I had invested in sooner. The chainsaw is easy to operate, runs on a single charge for much longer than I need to cut tree branches with, and it's highly effective at cutting through branches cleanly. The set comes with everything you need to get started, including the chainsaw, a battery, a battery charger, and a storage bag. It doesn't take very long to charge the unit, and once fully charged, I was able to prune several trees without having to take a break. The handheld chainsaw is much lighter and easier to handle than the large corded chainsaw that I used to use, and I was able to operate it while perched on a ladder without worrying that I would accidentally drop it or injure myself. The unit does not heat up while in use, features safety mechanisms to prevent accidental start-up, and is compact enough for even me to use for extended periods without getting tired. It's a garden tool I should have bought years ago, and something that I find myself now using every winter season when I need to prune the trees and ready them for spring.

Wonderful tool! (But see updates 6/8/25 and 6/9/25, as well as 6/10/25)
Update 6/8/2025: The chain tensioning knob broke! It had actually broken last year, but I was still able to work it with pliers; but now it’s more broken and I can’t even make it work with pliers. Bummer! I love this tool! But the tensioning knob is plastic, and not well made enough to resist the force required to tension the chain correctly. I’m not sure if I will buy another saw; perhaps, knowing this weakness, I’d be able to avoid it breaking again?Incredibly useful tool! Lightweight, easy to use, cuts quickly through any vegetation up to 2 inches, can take down trees up to 5 or 6 inches. Get a couple of batteries, the larger capacity ones, and extra cutting chain, be sure you have the right size file for sharpening, and for tree trimming, brush clearance, and a million cutting chores, it’s fantastic! The only drawback is that there is not automated chain oiling mechanism, so you have to carry a small bottle of chain oil (provided) and oil the chain fairly frequently. Also, the plastic handle for the chain tightening knob broke, so I have to use pliers to turn it now. Be careful with the knob, knowing it’s a bit flimsy. But overall, an incredibly useful tool! So, a further update: I searched the Greenworks site for replacement parts: None available online. So, I can customer service. I sit on the phone for 2 HOURS!!! No answer; and no other way of contacting them. No email. Of course the Chatbot is useless. Now I’m annoyed, and would bring my rating down, except for the fact that the tool itself is incredibly useful.3rd update, 6/10/25: All’s well that ends well! Today I called customer service again. After a long time—maybe 45 minutes (with my phone on speaker, doing other tasks) I FINALLY got through to a person! She told me “it’s our busy season”—right, got it! So I explained my issue; and, long story short, they are sending me a replacement saw!!! 3-year limited warranty covering defects in workmanship—which I would say this was. They don’t even want me to send back the broken saw. Needless to say, I am very happy with this. And, I will be careful when tensioning the chain.

A hoot to use!
Seems well made and very easy to use, cuts through wood like butter, the battery lasts sufficiently for my needs. Quiet, very little vibration, great size. I wish I'd bought one sooner.

Good little pruner
Used it to cut back a couple of feet of overgrown evergreens that act as a hedge. Did the job nicely. Had to tighten the chain a couple of times in an hour and a half but no big deal. Ve Ty light weight and beats the hell out using a lopper especially for the thick branches. Definitely worth the bucks

It’s Amazing!
Works better than I expected. Has the power and ability to cut through not only tree branches but also small tree stumps. Branches that would take some effort and space to cut with a bow saw fell rapidly to this handheld mini-chainsaw. Worked on 2 stumps and 10 branches with no noticeable battery power loss.

Lightweight and easy to handle, cuts branches with ease.
This easy to handle saw is great! I am able to cut branches that are too big for my loppers, and it cuts through them easily. I like it because it's not too big or heavy.

Excellent for pruning.
I've looked at these hand held chainsaws for a while but didn't think they would work well. Watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and figured I take a shot at it. Really works well for pruning small branches or cutting out nuisance bushes or saplings. I have to remind myself that it is a real chainsaw and be safe while using it. I'm not going to clear cut 40 acres with it but it's much quicker than a bow saw or loppers. The only drawback is there's no automatic oiler. I figure it was eliminated to keep the compact design. It's easy enough to use the included squit bottle to oil the chain every so often. I'm happy with the product so far.

Good charging and cutting
This is an excellent product, holding the charge and cutting the woods. I have cut down few trees branches with it this summer. Very useful and can be handled with just one hand.
