Highly pigmented
Excellent quality paint , great value for money. Ready to use sumi ink - just add water. Great for calligraphy, Japanese brush painting and also suitable for watercolour technique. I really enjoy these muted tones. I would love to get more.

Fabulous addition to range of work
These are called, (side of pack) shadow blacks. I really rate them. I find they have a number of uses, and have really brought more flexibility to my painting. In art, quality paints do matter, do make a difference.They are wonderful for shadows, but also as a base for a brilliant colour ( I use Brusho), where they give a richness & depth to what would otherwise be just sparkly. I ve also found they give mystery and exquisite colour when used with my Gansai Tambi gem colours, depth with a glow. Finally, you can use so each brush stroke is clear, and counts, so adding direction and liveliness with each stroke.

Bought as a present. The colours were beautiful. I would of liked to use them myself. Maybe I'll order some for myself

Great for shadows
I'm having fun with these. Sadly, my watercolour paintings tend to be wishy-washy. A dab of these pushes the tones much darker.
