Largely underrated, wish this was getting more attention. Best way to feed any hunger for Overwatch lore while Blizzard figures the game out. The 250 pages detail the ripple effects of the invasion and expand the world of Overwatch. The Wrecking Ball and Ashe stories are my personal favourites. All stories give a much needed spotlight to heroes who have not been greatly featured in the lore thus far.

Where to begin? First, a really nifty hard cover with full color cover art work. It does wrap around but the back of the book has a big block of text that covers most of the back image. The cover is like a cracked glass with jagged lines radiating from the center, breaking up the images in pie slice like segments, each segment a sort of preview of the short stories inside.ALL the stories are well written. I give this whole book a double thumbs up and my highest regards.Small spoiler, YES, if you are peeking at the cover, that IS Soldier 76 with Sombra in the lower right segment!!! Significant LORE in the last short story Lucky Man. Almost all the short stories are anchored together with the INVASION story line that is the "current" time frame of the Overwatch game. NULL SECTOR has attacked various cities world wide,1st story set in the Atlantic Arcology where Niran PruksaManee (Lifeweaver) is living. 1st short story is Satya Vaswani (Symmetra) visiting him on behalf of Vishkar - Great Insight for Satya's mindset and why she is staying with Vishkar currently.2nd story - Efi and Orisa - set one year after the The Hero of Numbani, context places the novel 1 year after RECALL and the short story is one year later during INVASION - making Orisa 1 year old by "current" time. Null Sector attacks Numbani and Efi and Orisa take action.3rd story - Luck of the Draw - Ashe, Bob the Deadlock gang is in Las Vegas to make a weapon's deal when Null Sector attacks!4th story - A Friendly Rivalry - this is available on the Blizzard website currently- Junkrat and Roadhog have upset the Junker Queen. Includes Wreaking Ball. Our cast wind up revealing Junkrat's Treasure!!! and leads into the 5th story THOUGHTLESS GODS - my favorite story in the book - which is from Hammond the hamster's POV -- It reveals Hammond's origins and just what went on at the Horizon Lunar Colony, the Uprising of the Gorillas/Apes AND what Lucheng Interstellar currently is doing here on Earth. Wreaking Ball is seeking tech for his Junker Queen, and answers. I think this was LORE RICH and Hammond is extremely well developed in this story. Warning, scientists do despicable things to tiny hamsters.Story 6 is WHERE HONOR LIVES and is HANZO, we get to see Kiriko's father, who is same generation as Hanzo's dad. Hanzo current INVASION time is 40, Kiriko is 21, so yeah I have problems with Kiriko's age. But aside from that, Tokyo during the Null Sector invasion. A solid story. Define's Hanzo's current mindset.Story 7 Lost Ghosts - Soldier 76 and Ana during INVASION, they get info on TALON going after Overwatch Agents, and are out to rescue one of the names on the hitlist. ANA point of view and Flash Backs of Ana during the Omnic Crisis, young Fareeha. The story ends with Soldier 76 on his way to meet the mystery contact who has been getting him intel and has more information that will help him uncover what really happened when Overwatch Headquarters blew up and led to the end of Overwatch.Story 8 LUCKY MAN -- this is the golden apple of the Overwatch Lore -- SPOILERS SPOILERSYes. You guessed it!!! SOMBRA!!! Our Talon Hacker is Soldier 76's inside source!!! Soldier 76 and Sombra TEAM UP to get the answers they are both pursuing. Did you think Talon was behind everything? There are webs with in webs and both our heroes are going to run down who is really pulling the strings, and why. This story makes a nice mirror between the Reaper short story that is on the Blizzard website. Much better written, with Sombra and Soldier 76 really well portrayed.

Lovely quality book .bought as a gift

This book is amazing and has alot of overwatch lore and covers multiple heroes. If you are a overwatch lovers this book is for you. 100% recommend this book
