Great Lap Organizer and Kneeboard
This is the last kneeboard I think I'll ever need. Finally. As a Private Pilot still working my way through IFR and hopefully other training I was searching for a good kneeboard to help organize my cockpit. I use the iPad Mini for my approach plates and weather, of course, but I prefer to write down ATC instructions and ATIS info on paper. I was also looking for multiple solutions for places to store a pen and a few custom checklists I created.I had tried storing the checklists in a pocket to the side and clipping the pen to the ASA Kneeboard I've been using since my PPL training. Unfortunately, neither solution was ideal. The pen, especially, would go missing whenever I really needed it. (I'm so bad with pens that I keep them squirreled around the cabin) I tried a visor organizer, but the visor in my 172 is anchored differently than a typical car visor. I tried a seat belt organizer with the same results.Thankfully, this kneeboard has it all. It has a nice clipboard, narrower but still sufficient to hold the Amazonbasics 8/5.5 note paper I use. It has several pen loops (YAY!) to hold my pens and styluses. And it has a wonderful series of binder loops, though it does not come with clips. (I already had some, so this wasn't an issue.) I was able to cut down some page protectors to fit my small check lists so that when I need them I can view them but otherwise they hang to the left side of my leg, out of the way.The velcro is rock solid and has a great grip and the overall fit and finish is great. It's really a fantastic kneeboard, despite the fact that it's more than double the price of ASA's products. (Having spent thirty dollars on all of those other unsatisfying pen and document storage items, I wish I'd found this first!)

Great knee board. Can work with iPad, if you’re clever.
Solid knee board. Has a few more features than I need (lots of pen slots, Velcro pocket), but works just fine. One criticism is that it is a bit thick when folded up in my flight bag and takes up a good chunk of space. No biggie.Want the flexibility of having a knee board for paper charts and notes while also having the ability to strap on your iPad Pro? This kneeboard can do that, although it wasn’t quite designed to do it.I bought the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle PRO Series iPad Pro 10.5” case, which has a folding stand. You can thread the clear+Velcro strap of this knee board through the iPad case’s folding stand and hold it in place right on your knee. You’re limited to a landscape orientation, but I’m perfectly comfortable with accepting that for the flexibility of having a dual purpose knee board.

Small but OK
I was concerned that the pen/pencil holders stored their contents across the leg as opposed to in line. I cut my pencils short to make sure they stayed out of the way and would be enclosed when the kneeboard was folded for storage. This has not been a problem. I also pined for the clip closure in my previous kneeboard, figuring the velcro would be uncomfortable. Wrong again, I have not noticed any problem except that the leg strap is much too long, I will trim it. I keep my iPad mini on a yoke mount, so I removed the clear strap. Build quality is good. I miss the info (light gun, special transponder codes) on my old board, will have to make a card I guess. Overall satisfied, good value for the cost.

Perfect size
I have used this brand for somewhere in the area of 7 years and have been very pleased with construction and durability. This purchase was a replacement for one I left at home. The only issue was with Amazons delivery not with the product.

great for organization
Currently, I have a total of 3 hours of flight time with this board, but overall I'm impressed. The elastic seems of a good quality, velcro holds very well. I ordered a 6"x9" steno pad to go use with it and the book is slight longer than the board. I flip it so the loose bottom of the pages are under the clip and the spiral binding is at the bottom so I don't have to worry about pages fraying or flying around at the bottom. Only complaint is I wish the pocket on the side was a little wider so I could put my phone in it (Galaxy S10). Overall great board. I'll update later when I have more flight time with it.

Great for organizing info
The media could not be loaded. Love this kneeboarding. A place for my pens, side pockets for other stuff you might need, and the binder rings to add checklists, charts, and other things.

Everything you LOVE in a smaller package.
I switched to this kneeboard after using the ASA Tri-Fold that we all start with. There was nothing wrong with my previous kneeboard. It held up great after 2 years in school and 2 years in the professional world. However, I need a smaller board to fit in my bag as I travel and the Tri-Fold would get in the way of the yoke of the King Air due to the low position of the yoke, the size of my legs, and the large size of the aluminum back plate.I go into the cockpit with a kneeboard and an iPad these days and I like to travel light. This kneeboard does everything my previous one did, just in a smaller package. I couldn't be happier with it.NOTE: The leg strap isn't as long as the ASA's so it is a tighter fit on my leg. I'm a much larger build than most but the velcro REALLY holds the board in place well. And I mean, REALLY REALLY well.

Does what it says
I have used this for a few months now and it is perfect for keeping me organized while flying. Plenty of pockets and slots for pens and anything else I need out of the way but accessible - I typically just attach the clear strap to the back out of the way (I don’t think it’s necessary. When I’m done flying it folds up nicely and Velcro's together neatly and doesn’t take a lot of space in my flight bag. Would recommend
